I have now spent 2 weeks with both the EVO and the 510.

Marks for the 510:

Size/Appearance - 7/10
Vapor production - 9/10
Cartridge capacity - 8/10
Battery life - 6/10

TOTAL = 7.5/10

Marks for the EVO:

Size/Appearance - 8/10
Vapor production - 8/10
Cartridge capacity - 7/10
Battery life - 9/10

TOTAL = 8/10

So... The two models are very similar and cost the same amount.

If you buy the 510 you will get slightly better vapor and a easier draw.
You will need 2 batteries a day if you smoke 10-15 regular ciggies. Cartridges MUST be modded to perform well after they become half empty.

The EVO is almost perfect, but you must get the "new" carts which came out recently and don't need modding, however, even the new carts don't hold quite as much as the 510...
Battery life is approx. 50% longer lasting than the 510, but vapor production and throat-hit is slighty reduced.

The battery life and decreased size just edge it for the EVO, but if you love heavy vapor try the 510 too.

Tests were done with EcoPure liquid which tastes better than standard pg liquid.
I used the straw mod for the 510.

Good assessment. Many subjective factors though - iow, battery life is apples to oranges on mAh, and is not an issue if you have a battery ready to go when one dies. Take that out of the mix and the 510 comes out ahead. Add throat hit as a factor and the lead is even greater.

I agree, bigger cart isn't always better. Just look at 801's.....
Unless the the unit can effectively wick all juice out it does no good.
510, 801 every time I would go to refill there was a good half a cart left of juice because they just don't wick it all out.
I hated all the time spend modding and messing and spending $$ on this that and the other trying to finding a ultimate cart filler and ended up dripping because they annoyed me.
The 401 is the only one I use now and I will use a cart with it because it's no fuss or muss and even though small, outlast's the 510 cart by a mile.
