Yesterday was the 72 birthday of the accidental discovery in Switzerland

Pretty sure that their is a celebration called bicycle day. Bc he rode a bicycle after it took effect.
April 16th should then be a National holiday we all celebrate. :)

Manfred Mann
- saw them doing that one live live when I was given a ticket to a MM concert 5 minutes before the coach left for the venue! No home phone then either, but Mum & Dad guessed where I'd gone! :)

A few British bands for an artist who can't dance at the moment due to a loaded paint brush, but let's hope these get her dancing mentally.

Dave Clark Five
My first dance at the back room of the coffee bar ...that was in the charts!
(Right now: 2.20am, drinking hot chocolate and taking a 5 minute break ..then work another hour.)

PS I Love You
My initials back then. Walking up the hill to school on frosty mornings and all of us singing the A side to this! :)

Peter & Gordon
First school trip away from home, for a week at a summer camp on the moors. Most of us cried all week and plotted our escape (all of half an hour from the village bus stand!) Had my 14th birthday during that week ...cake stashed in suitcase for a midnight feast!

Gerry & The Pacemakers
You'll Never Walk Alone was one of my first single records!

Music walks beside us right through our lives, and when we hear something, it can take us back to even a moment. :)

I am jealous Pictor. I did get a chance to see lots & lots of British bands when they came to Hollywood. But you got to see them while perfecting their songs and working on their stage appearance. I would have given my eye teeth to have been raised in England during the mid '60's. I am green with envy.

We definitely feel privileged to have been part of it - it was a cultural explosion, and not just with music. As I said over at NT, even our sons envy us being teens and young adults through those times :)

So, it's late, got a bit more work to do - as a parting shot, another favourite:

I understand completely with it being much more than music and how the youth's complete mind set was changing. It's very difficult to explain to people who did not live it and experience it. You truly had to be there.

I fixed Mr. Moonlight for you. And you are about to witness the moon setting and the sun brightening your day. It's what...almost 3am in the UK?
