Janty eGo C aseembly - where am I going wrong?!

Hi, I'm new to e cigarettes and have bought the Janty eGo C. I have assembled the e cig as instructed but only get a horrible burnt taste rather than the menthol liquid I bought. I put the atomiser head onto the battery and screwed the cover over the top. I then pushed in the cartridge/mouthpiece filled with liquid. Vapour comes out fine, just tastes horrible! Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I've never used the c type atomisers & tanks so can't help with them. Hopefully someone else will come along & help soon.

You can use anything with an ego/510 fitting on your ego battery, so you may find you get on a lot better with something like an Evod -
