huey, you "threw" together that mockup!?!?!? holy crap, I couldn't even come up with something that nice if I was given 24 hours to do so ... very nice!

EDIT: So huey, judging by your post and the diagram, the atomizer and batteries would be reusable right? not disposable? they would continue to keep the same style of today ecigs, just in a smaller size with shorter bursts of energy?

Heh, it's been floating around in my head ever since you sent me my first 901, just a matter of throwing it into fireworks. ;-)

I like the semi-disposable model you seem to employ cash, parts cheap enough that we really only need them to last about a month and we still get off better than the 3 cartons I use to buy (ok at this point still buy, but here's to the future. ;-)). I also like the refill/topoff factor, seems like if the atomizer and cart are together we might lose some of that ability. Plus doesn't seem very "green" to me to be chucking atomizers when the cart is spent.

That's the same concept as e-cig.com's E-Pack, and one of the Health e-cigs rom Dealsxtreme, neither of which work very well. I like the idea, but noone yet has done it right.

Any pictures? I looked at e-cig.com but I didn't see anything? And didn't find any quick way to browse through dealxtreme.

just for interest..

What about getting a hamster wheel or treadmill setup for Leaford's bird Mike to power his Diva?

Nah, Mike's too damn lazy for that! :D I actually use a treadmill style technique as a punishment when he tries to bite me, making him step up from one hand to another over and over and over... He can't bite and step up at the same time, you see, so I just keep making him step up untill he's too tired to fight anymore. :D

:) I like trog battery yup ! this is an improvement..BUt sadly atomisers still the weakest part of all.

currently e cig battery do sucks ..in term of electronics terms

the usage on e cig to power up the atomisers.

just treat them as disposable and bin em after xxxx puffs fish.. we have been doing this right from the word go..

something missing from the ebay screwerdriver item.. "we consider atomizers to be disposable items"..

we also consider dripping or topping up to be essential.. which is why it comes with a bottle of fluid.. just to set the pattern..

I despise PETA. They oppose animal shelters euthanizing unwanted pets, but they themselves euthanize thousands of cats and dogs every year; they oppose medical use of animal products, EVEN INSULIN, except of course for the insulin used by their insulin dependant diabetic president, who says she has to stay healthy to continue the fight.

Bunch of hypocritical .......s.

i think the new janty disposable improved LT clone ludo talked about is the best we can hope for in the foreseeable future...

i reckon the buck rodgers ultrasonic laser beam special isnt gonna be around anytime soon...mores the pity...

the existing ones are just too cheap and easy to manufacture, and its a young industry...

i hope im wrong, and something really technologically advanced is being worked on as we speak...but i kinda doubt it...

That baby takes 1.4 litres of juice Ted. If only potatoes weren't semi-disposable ... one should really last for a full tank but I think I'll have to invest in a sack full.

Actually in all seriousness I've been having a look at ultrasonic humidifying technology and have learned that they don't vapourise, they create a fine mist spray. Because they don't heat and purify the liquid the mist includes fungi, viruses, bacteria and impurities. There is such a thing as 'humidifier fever'. Nebulisers produce a cold mist too so they could potentially have the same risks as ultrasonic devices. So our vapourising technology might not be so bad after all.

I've noticed alot of people mentioning poor battery life. From my personal experience this is down to quality control, not the battery being inadequte.

I have 2 batteries for my penstyle right now.

One is 7 weeks old and one is 2-3 weeks old.

The 7 week old one is perfect, it last all day, I charge it at the end of the day (and swap over to using the 2-3 week old battery while the 7 week old one is charging)

Now the 7 week old one has never ever done the 10 flash "please charge me" distress signal, so I've never managed to run it down enough in a day.

The 2-3 week old one on the other had (which has already been replaced twice) can need charging after about 3 hours normal use.

So I've got one good battery and 3 in a row duff batteries.

Is it possible that people complaining of battery life are getting duff batteries?

From my own (limited experience) 1 in 4 means so far I've had a 75% change of getting a rubbish battery.

no.. it isnt.. the only thing in need of an explanation here is why u have one thats runs for as long as it does..

u have one "miracle" battery and three normal ones..

i suppose what u are really saying is.. if one battery can do it so could they all.. ????
