Me, too. Here it is. Awaiting moderation.

Since e-cigarettes utilize the same pharmaceutical-grade nicotine as the medicinal nicotine inhaler (or "inhalator" as it is called in some places), we should expect that the death rate from using an e-cigarette would be exactly the same--zero. Indeed, the US Food and Drug Administration has been collecting adverse events reports on e-cigarettes and has only received 47 since 2008. None of these could be definitely linked to use of the devices, and the death rate stands at zero. Meanwhile, in the US, approximately 397,000 adult smokers die every year from lung disease, heart attacks, strokes, and cancers triggered by smoking. If e-cigarette users died at the same rate, we would be seeing over 30,000 annual deaths instead of zero.

About a year ago I was in contact with an ecig vendor in Japan. He was wanting info on the right ecigs, cartos, drip tips, juices, etc. He told me it was illegal to sell juice that contained nicotine in Japan, and ecigs were primarily a party/novelty item there. Popular, but not a nicotine device. Perhaps this has changed, and people are getting nicotine and adding it to their juices. No mention of nicotine laws in Japan in this article.

Bill, do you know the current status of nicotine laws in Japan? this article is fairly balanced between the truth and usual lies, so it does not seem like an overt hit piece, but could be addressing an underground ecig movement in Japan.

Just got back from Tokyo with 3 Reo and an eRoll kit- I was the only vaper I saw.
A few stores cell little e-cigs...but they are not allowed to vend e-cigs w/ nicotine...
However, you are allowed to buy nic juice from over-seas...

I vaped in districts where smoking was not allowed on the streets and was never hassled.
