Which mods are Japanese?
Where can I buy Japanese products aside from Japan?

Thanks
I'll bite ...

What is it about Japanese mod's that is of interest to you?

I understand made in home country, or made in country or origin (origin being history of item, or where raw materials are sourced, etc.). Perhaps regulated mod's text characters ...?

I have to say, I was thinking that. When buying a mod I start with features what I want and then go from there. Can't say I have ever started with the country of manufacture and then looked.

Funny you asked, I almost pulled the trigger on this today. Couldn't tell if it was authentic or an expensive knockoff

Sakura Mods Vape Mechanical Mod Japan Import
Looks too much like the Turtleship v2 clone I have (~$8) to justify spending $80+:

The ebay items description says it is 23mm but it also says it has a Reverse Spring? and Lock Silver Pins?

Hmm, I can understand the "Japanese" interest.
Most vape gear, especially tube mechs are made of steel and one does tend to equate ( at least I do ) well made steel with Japan.

They have of course made swords and knives into an art and many of the old rolled steel swords cant be equaled in quality, sharpness and longevity.

I know that Pinoy/ Phillipino mods are absolutely some of the best around, but I really have not seen many actually made in Japan vape gear. Ive seen a lot with Japanese names, but most or made in China and not really the quality one equates with Samurai Swords.

The only Japanese mechanical mod that I remember hearing about was The Ramble (I think that VapeRev was an authorized reseller at the time). Obviously, one can use Google to learn about more and potentially where to get them.

I have a bunch of authentic mechanical mods from different countries. I get the appeal of looking fondly at your collection and noting the different countries that are represented. I can also appreciate someone who is looking to put together a collection of mechanical mods from different countries and looking for mods from specific ones solely to be represented. That's certainly not my motivation, but I can appreciate it. Such a pursuit might not result in a collection of the best mechanical mods, but as long as the collector is happy, that's fine by me.

There are absolutely glorious mods and RDAs out there (not many, surely all very pricey) that use mokume-gane steel, if that's what you're after. I don't believe any of them are Japan-made.

From Asia, you should be looking at South Korea or The Philippines for the nice stuff, IMO, but surely Japan has boutique builders like any other country?
