JG Blend from www.ahlusion.com

The juice: JG Blend is a Cavendish extracted tobacco from Ahlusions non-aromatic line, infused with coffee notes. Options selected were Dark Roast (Light Roast also available), 12mg nic, and 50/50 vg/pg. Aged for 1 month.

The Hardware: ERA clone dripping RBA on a VAMO.

Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best.

Sweetness: 3. This is a comfortably sweet juice. They have the option to add additional sweetner, but the standard level of sweetness should be enough for most vapers. The tobacco involved is Cavendish, which is naturally sweet, so a sweet juice was expected. I wonder if it would be better if it was a little drier, but I don't feel it is at all too sweet. Smooth Criminal from Ahlusion continues to become drier after the first month, so I wonder if this will too after an additional month of age.

Tobacco Impact: 3. Similar to other Cavendish NETs, this one isn't smoky, leafy, grassy, or anything like that. It's not complex, but it tastes very good. Straight-forward and pleasantly sweet. It has an important role in the overall flavor, but know's it's role is that of supporting player. The lack of aggressiveness and bite is a big reason this works so well for me. Coffee is a very complex flavor, one of the most, and leafy or grassy tobacco notes might feel wrong with it.

Vapability: 5. Coffee flavor, when done right, is similar to straight tobacco or vanilla to me in that I can enjoy it at about any time, just like I can enjoy a cup of coffee at any time. The juice tastes great, full of flavor without being aggressive, smooth and sweet. Unlike other coffee tobaccos I've had, the coffee flavor stays strong with and doesn't quickly fade like others. It also has legs, I can gladly vape this for long periods.

Flavor Accuracy: 5. Sold as a coffee tobacco, tastes like a coffee tobacco. Ahlusion is at the top when it comes to authentic flavors, and JG Blend doesn't dissappoint. The coffee is fantastic. The dark roast option I chose tastes like a cup of fairly strong, high quality coffee, but isn't bitter or unpleasant in any way.

Overall: 5. Best coffee tobacco I've vaped, and by a fairly large margin. The tobacco is unremarkable while still being very good. The coffee side is where this juice really shine, and I'm glad the tobacco doesn't try to compete with it. I'm curious how this juice continues to age after several more weeks, but won't find out with this bottle since it's so good right now. Next time I'd like to order a bottle with the light roast option, just to compare, and another dark roast again to set aside for long steep.

Nice review Jerms. I tend to agree with most of it. I had both the light and dark roast and in 6mg and 12mg. The 12mg as would be expected had a bit more bite to it, and imo, took away from the flavor notes a bit. The dark roast at first even after some steeping was a bit heavy, I preferred the light roast but then much later the dark roast came around to be quite good as well.

It sounds like I wasn't getting as much sweetness as you were - I also didn't have it added but you're right on, on the coffee. It isn't an 'expresso' type coffee, but quite tasty - in fact, and I don't know how much the 'profile' is taken into account on reorder but I said I could go for more coffee and less tobacco... we'll see. I'd also like to see just the coffee part in a separate flavor. Kona kick was about 2 points below the JG imo and the cafe au lait never made it past 1.... again, for me - I detected a maple taste which I don't care for.

I still have both caps off the JG and SC and while the original steeping improved them greatly, they're still enhanced by more steeping - just not at the rate that was in the first week to 10 days.

Thanks for the input Kent, much appreciated. That's too bad about the other Ahl coffees. I haven't had them yet, though I plan to. Maybe they'll work for me better than you, as they say, taste is subjective. But you're not the first person I've heard that's said JG Blend has the best coffee flavor of Ahlusion's coffee vapes.

We may experienced close the same level of sweetness. Putting at 3, I considered it right smack in the middle, not in the drier range but not overly sweet. Personally, I enjoy NETs to lean a little into the dry range, but flavored NETs I can do sweeter as long as the flavor is good. I'm more interested in trying JG at a drier level than thinking it would be better. I tend to trust Wlad's judgement more than my own ideas, lol.

Jerms,

Oddly, the boba tea coffee, actually has a good coffee taste to it. Now if I could get rid of the tea part. Just got some more stuff yesterday and steeping but trying them out. Really impressed with Peach Wild Wood and Peachy Criminal. I liked the Peach River Tree but someone - Randy? set me on to the wild wood flavors, and I like them even better - even before the long steep - the apple is good too. SGP and HCured are going to need some more steeping than the others ;)

Haha, maybe Wladd can would make a coffee vape personally for you with the coffee flavor from Boba Tea or JG, they're pretty cool about doing stuff like that. If you wrote them that you liked the coffee in those two but wasn't such a fan of their other coffee vapes, they may even release a juice based on your profile. I've yet to have any of the Boba's offered, will probably start with the plain, but will keep the coffee in mind.

The Wild Woods tobacco flavor just really clicks with me. I just have the apple, that's currently steeping, but the brief taste I had when received was a wowsa. Such an awesome tobacco, I'll get the peach and vanilla versions soon.

That would be me :) I know it's been said a million times by others describing fruit flavors, but WW apple is the most natural tasting apple I've ever had! Wlad is so masterful at his craft! Not too sweet, not too sour, not too much, not too little- just right! And... I just LOVE the tobacco base he's using with WW. I can't wait to get back to my WW cherry! WW's are a must try!
