Geez! I must be the worst fangirl out there! I can't believe I missed the boss's birthday. Happy belated birthday, Jonboy! I hope you enjoyed your prime rib dinner.

The material for the Chicago tanks look great. I see you got several of the plaid. The last plaid you made turned out terrific. I hope you post pics of the finished products even if they won't be up for sale online. I enjoy just looking at the pics, even if I know I won't be able to purchase one. I wish I could go to Chicago, but that's not possible at this time. I'm sure your tanks will sell out fast, leaving you plenty of time to just enjoy yourself.

Jacqueline- I'm am so glad to hear you finally managed to get the top off your tank. I'm sorry to hear about all the other problems you've been having to deal with though.

tbrinkley- grats on the new tank!

cba- your provari looks amazing. I showed the picture to my husband and asked him if he could figure out how the veneer was applied. He seemed to think he could do it easily, in fact he said I could do it. That's just the way he is though. He doesn't like to build things for me, but he likes teaching me how to build things myself. I'm going to have to seriously consider doing that to my satin Provari. I love my provaris so much that I'm a bit intimidated by the prospect of messing them up. I'm going to have to think about it and perhaps try it out on something a little less precious first before I get up the nerve to try it.

Morning lava people! Got the day off. Have to attend a funeral tomorrow for my uncle. More of a family obligation thing than anything else. I hadn't seen him since I was 5 or 6. I do feel for my father though cause I know they were much closer.

That's an antique....I had some of those.

I was under the impression at the time that it was one of the very first ones...showing email to/from him on 3-7-11 discussing it.

If memory serves, he approached me after I tried like hell to get an original map ce2 tank and couldn't. Had to keep it on the DL because he wasn't approved by ECF to be a vendor.

I STILL don't like CE2 mods, but the design and craftsmanship jumped out at me, even after a year of sitting in storage.
