Hello, again. My new Kangar Topbox mini has arrived yesterday night, with seven juices. I was vaping non stop since it arrived! The taste of every juice I've tried are great. Since I didn't want the tastes to mix, I used a different coil for each. I've tried three; Looper(50/50 12 nic. aka Trix incarnate!) Milk man(80/20by OHW. artificial strawberry milk flavor, great for all day vape, +1 for massive clouds), and Peaky Blinders(meh, uninspiring taste).

I've smoked one cigarette last night, and one this morning since I wanted to see the difference between smoking and vaping after dinner and after waking up. It's surprising how similar the sensation is, after a few tokes. My cat not leaving the room in disappointment while I smoke is entertaining!

Little cravings through out the day, since I'm in need of only smoking in my bedroom and the balcony to keep the rotting smell of tobacco out. I expected to feel very anxious, which is why I took a few days off, but this doesn't seem so bad!

Since I couldn't find any videos, I have a few questions.

1. Is it ok if I wash the tank after taking out the coil?
2. Do different drip tips change anything or are they just for customization?
3. Do I need to buy a battery charger or can I continue using my mod to charge, and what's the difference?

1. Feel free to wash (and dry) the tank between flavors.

2. Yes. There is a difference in wide bore, narrow bore, long and short tips. Wide=more vapor. Long=cooler. There are tips with airflow control as well and cooling fins. Also, some folks like the feel and taste of glass or delrin or metal or wood (personal preference thing).

3. Most would recommend a separate charger. A single slot charger can be had for <$10. This also gives you a backup and frees you from the cord so you can just swap out the battery and go on your way.

Thank you for the explanation. By the way, since you're a veteran at this, what's your all day vape and why?

Maxwell,

You're doing GREAT! Stick with it and before long you'll be wishing this technology was available years ago! You may even drop your nicotine level at some point.

+ to Grimwald on the advise here as well.

My ADV is a DIY "Honey-kist Graham Cracker" 50/50 @ 9% N.
The why is that my first "juice" was Omega Graham/Tobacco (18%) and when that wasn't available I got some "Two Peas" Black Honey Tobacco (18%). Since I/we are vaping to quit "the stinks" (and haven't touched one since day one of vaping  ) we wanted to get away from tobacco flavors all together, we started DIYing a "tobacco free" Honey Graham Cracker. We dropped the N. to 9% since the 18% (then down to 12%) had too sharp of a throat hit for our liking, especially the first few hits in the morning :)shock:). Plus, as reforming smokers, we were hittin' it pretty hard for the first week or so and ended up with pretty good "N. buzzes":D:D:D! Now we've got a tasty ADV that's easy on the throat and still satisfies our "needs". I mean c'mon, who couldn't eat honey grahams all day??? :) We're still "tweaking" the recipe but I'd be happy to share it with you if you'd like. One thing we'll probably do is change to 60/40. We're not "cloud chasers" and 50/50 seems to be a little thick in the tank and in the mouth for us. It's really all individual preference though ;).

LIS, stick with it and before you know it, you'll be scrubbing your walls to get rid of the resin!
Good job buddy and WELCOME!!!

Just a heads up, I remember reading something about cats and vaporized PG not being good for them. May wish to shoo the cat away when you vape hard.

Might be an urban legend and I don't have cats, but you may wish to look into it.

Yes.. cats respond very strangely to PG vapor. That might be because PG is not good for them or they are just being cats. (A little strange, but we love them).
Meanwhile, a dog will sit and let you vape without complaint. I love them both (yes, I really do) but be careful with cats, they are weird creatures with unknown power and natural instinct.
(whereas a dog is mostly stupid..) :)

If you mean liquid, I use unflavored almost exclusively...because I just don't like flavors.

As for devices, well, I don't have one perfect device, just a perfect device for every circumstance. All day at home is mostly a Kanger Subox mini with a Joyetech Tron tank or a Kayfun or a Wismec Amor. Out and about is an Egrip or Ego One. Bedside is a simple ego battery with a Protank II mini. Yardwork is an Evod battery and tank.

That aside - glad things are going well for you Max..... It's a process, but it can be an incredibly wonderful process.... Keep up the great work!

There was a study that found cats can develop a type of anemia from eating pg in food. I'm an extreme cat lover, live with four cats, and have been vaping around them big time for over three years now.

None of mine show any signs of anemia (Heinz body). Besides having regular vet care, mine have been getting extreme blood work on a regular basis for the past two months, because we are pursuing health certificates to be able to bring them to Hawaii from Alaska.

This is from
National Center for Biotechnology Information

Propylene glycol was fed to cats for 5 weeks at concentrations found in commercial diets (1.6 g/kg of body weight; 12% of diet on a dry-weight basis) and for 3 weeks at concentrations exceeding usual intake (8 g/kg; 41% of diet). There was a dose-dependent increase in Heinz body percentage to 28% in cats fed the low dose of PG and to 92% in cats fed the high dose.

Great job, so far! Just remember that every analog you don't smoke is reason for celebration, so don't be too hard on yourself for your couple of stinkies per day. You'll be off of them in no time.

I don't have an ADV. I have an EMV - sweet cinnamon danish, which goes great with morning coffee. And an EEV - vanilla Creme custard mixed with a bit of RY4 (perfect for cocktail hour :)). During the day, it's anyone's guess. Could be fruit, boba tea, or whatever else strikes my fancy. That's part of the joy of vaping!
