Hi
Does anyone know how long the Joye 510 Mega battery is? It looks like it must be at least 4", but it's so hard to tell. Has anyone had a problem using it with it being so much longer?

And what is the best Atomizer to use with a Mega battery? By "Best" I'm refering to the performance as well as how long it lasts. Is it true that the mega battery will over-work the atty's and they won't last as long as they do with a regular battery?

Sorry for sooo many questions! I would really appreciate any help...:confused:

Hi sheilava, haven't used a 510 Mega battery so can't help you with the length question. I'm sure others will come along shortly to answer.

As far as attys go, you should just use the standard atomiser (approx 2.4ohms) as a LR atty will kill the battery. The battery will not "overwork" the atty as it is still just a 3.7v battery, just that the Mega will give you more vaping time.

From memory, I believe the Mega goes to 280mah which should give you approx 2.5hrs of vape time.

Yes to what clark8876 said. The mega will last almost twice as long as the regular and it will have no affect on the atty at all. Use the standard atty (not a low resistance atty.) I'm not exactly sure how long it is, but it's certainly not too long for my taste...I have several. I think they look cool. They don't look funny or anything.

FYI

"The best you will get out of an eGo battery is 0.65A or 1A that is with 650 and 1000mAh respectively. A 1.5 LR draws 2A on an eGo battery.

The ratings 650mAh and 1000mAh do not state the maximum current output of the battery. Rather, they state how long the battery will last given a particular current draw. For example, a 650 mAh battery can deliver 650 milliamps (0.65 amps) for one hour. The 1000mAh can deliver 1000 milliamps (1 amp) for one hour. So, if you're using a 3.7 Volt 1000mAh battery, it works out like this:

I = current (amps)
V = voltage (volts)
R = resistance (ohms)

3.7 volts across a 1.5 ohm atomizer:

I = V / R

I = (3.7)/(1.5)
= 2.47 amps = 2 470 mA

This is the current that the atomizer will draw from the battery. To find out how long the battery can deliver this current, you do the following:

time (hours) = mAh/mA
= (1000)/(2 470)
= 0.405 hours

Therefore, with a 1.5 ohm atomizer, a fully charged 1000mAh 3.7 volt battery will last for 0.405 hours (24.3 minutes) of constant use.

Separating this 24.3 minute time frame into 5 second "draws,"

24.3 minutes * (60 seconds)/(1 minute) = 1458 seconds

1458 seconds * (1 draw)/(5 seconds) = 291.6 draws

You can do your own math based on how often you tend to take a draw to determine how long it will last you. My own personal experience is that, with a 650mAh 3.7 volt battery, using a 1.5 ohm atty lasts me about 24 to 36 hours while using the standard 2.2 ohm atty lasts me about 48 to 60 hours."

Hi Me, again,
I've been checking out websites for prices on mega batteries and somehow I ended up looking at the Joye Ego which I found on Sale for $40 shipped. It has the 650 mah batteries, atomizers, cones, chargers, ect and if I'm correct, this would be interchangable with my Joye 510. Wouldn't this be a really great way to go? I get the bigger (more powerful?) batteries, extra atomizers which I needed to buy as well plus extra charges, ect. This Ego is a Step up in power for an e-cig from the 510, right?
p.s. Arrron --HOLY ****! How did you figure all that out?! I definately got lost reading thru the 1st time, but I'm going to read it over a few more times until my idiot brain can understand it. I really appreciate all the work you put into helping me! WoW!! Thank you so much!
