Joye 510 questions

I just started vaping two days ago with a wonderful eGo and I really like it. My question is for a dear friend (the one who got me started vaping!). She has a Joye 510 that she hasn't been using because she didn't have a charger. I just learned she had the good e-cig this morning and promptly ordered her a new USB charger and car adapter. I love her! hehe. But what I want to know is if she can get rid of the attomizer/cartridge combo and go with an straight cartomizer with higher juice capacity? I just ordered a few good dual coil cartomizers that are highly recommended for my eGo and I want her to have as much enjoyment as possible with her fine 510. Will these work with any 510 with a 3.6 or 3.7 volt battery?

The veterans may correct me but as I understand it you shouldn't use a dual coil on a regular 510 *sniff* (*yeah that's what I have right now). It should be at least an ego (vendors don't even recommend using it on those but I've yet to see anyone have issues from it). Madvapes has some nice 2.5 ohm mega cartos that I like alot here's a link to them. Boge cartomizers are also said to be really good and here's a link to a place with a good price on those (I believe they are a smaller capacity than the ones I am using though). Both of these vendors are registered here and have good standing. I hope your friend sticks to it :)

Thank you all so much for the good help! I will recommend that my friend not try the dual coil carts but rather a good single type. I'll send her an order of something good soon and get that 510 vaping! I really appreciate the good advice on saving the battery from damage. I'll leave the experimenting to people who have more money to spend than we do! God bless!

Resistance is the key here. Low resistance (LR) equals more "heat" and therefore more vapor and more flavor. But as mentioned here it's not recommended to use LR (less than 2.5 ohm) attys or cartos on standard 510 batts. That is not to say it won't work because it definitely will....I know from personal experience. I have yet to "burn out" a battery but apparently someone has. :)

Borockster, I won't suggest my friend try the dual coil carts just in case. I think she will get great usage out of a good Boge soft tip and I will buy her some of those soon. She has an off brand (I can't remember it right now) that she's been using but when I found out she's had this one for two months and letting it sit because she doesn't have a charger, I jumped into gear. I've only just in the last month learned all that I think I know about e-cigs and that isn't too much yet. I am on the right track though and I'm finding lots of good advice and tips on this fantastic website. I learned how good the Joye 510's are and how they can really be enjoyed. If it were mine, I'd probably do like you and just give it a shot. I like hard hits and hope the dual coils carts will give me hot shots without too much sucking. I'm on my way! I won't brag smoke free yet because I've had one each of the past two mornings but I've definitely found a better nicotine delivery system! Nicotine, the drug too good to simply put down. I am so pleased and quickly learning to enjoy the smoke free vapor flavor. I'll be trying wild flavors sometime but for now I'm sticking with tobacco flavors because they are actually quite pleasant. Like the smell of a freshly opened pack of analogs. But not on fire! ha! God bless!
