I love my KR808's so far - no problems there. But I feel a hankering for a Joye eGo. I would LOVE to just be able to try one out to be sure, but this isn't one of those "try before you buy" kind of things. So, for those of you that have them...do you love them? Why? In comparison to the KR808's, what can you tell me? Where is the best / cheapest place to get one? I would be using it with cartomizers, some prefilled and some I fill on my own. Any tips before I purchase? Thanks so much! :)

I went through the same 'hankering' last week and decided on the Riva 510 from Liberty flights. It hasn't arrived yet, but the consensus here is that it is the same as the eGo, but has a better button for the battery. also 750 mah vs 600mah on eGo. Some prefer the eGo but most say Riva 510. Plenty of posts here about the 2 models. $29 super special at LF as soon as they restock. 2 batts, 10 empty carts, 2 attys, charger. If you can hold out, this may be your answer.

Since I got my ego/Riva (I have both), most of my other pv's including my 510 batteries have become almost irrelevant. I do occationally use the 510 batts once in a while, but the ego/Riva gets most of my attention. It just lasts all day, and if you have 808's you can get an adapter to use them with it. Liberty Flights is selling the Riva which is basically the same as the ego, just different maker, for $29.99 + 2.99 shipping for 2 batts, and 2 attys. I know they are currently out of stock, but will be restocking soon, so keep an eye out for them if you are interested.

The main reason I like it, is the long battery life and the look. It gets away from the cigarette look, and feels nicer in my hand. So far I have found it very functional for an all day PV. Good luck with what ever you decide, I am not at all affiliated with Liberty Flights, just passing the info along to you.

I have the Riva and the Ego. My Riva batts died in less than 2 months. Can't send them back to china. I have a regular ego batt and an xl ego batt. My xl shorted and Janty sent me out a replacement same day. I do love my Ego's!! Started with a straight 510, moved to the big boys and have just moved to cartomizers. Really love the warm vapor from the cartos.

i recently switched from a KR8 to an eGo. I would definitely recommend it. Should be 2-3 weeks before Liberty-Flights gets their RIVAs back in stock. @ $29.99 + $2.99 shipping, you can't beat that. I went down to the main office (US) yesterday. I definitely wish i went with a RIVA instead of an eGo. The button is waaay nicer. just like a 510, only round. this ego button is hard, plastic, sticky, and nothing but trouble. They also stock the 901 version, which will work with your 808d-1 cartomizers :)

maybe their is a vendor near PA who could let you check one out.... regardless, for that price, it's cheaper than most 510, or 808d-1 kits around, you shan't be disappointed. (2 batteries, some juice, and a couple extra cartos and im good. no need for a PCC anymore!)

I've got 9 separate eGo batteries, 3 from VT and 6 Joye eGo bats from healthcabin. I have not experienced sticky buttons or crappy buttons as of yet. The button is a hard button, but my only complaint is it tends to go off in my pockets. Since I wear a suit all day and have it in my breast pocket, it's probably my fault.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy your eGo as much as I have. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

"this ego button is hard, plastic, sticky, and nothing but trouble."

I ordered two eGo 1000mah batteries last night, and now I can look forward to having nothing but trouble with hard, plastic, and sticky buttons? Tell me it ain't so!

I don't have a problem using mine. I've had it for about 6 months and, YES, the button did stick a couple of times (2-3 times in 6 months isn't bad). But, you just click it a couple of times and it's fine. Still worth it for the battery life.

It ain't so. The buttons are different...a little...but not a problem at all. I have 3 sets of eGos and they are awesome. Not to worry at all about the button. In comparison to the Riva button, people like the Riva. I don't really have a preference, and I've had NO problem with the button......and total LOVE for and great performance from my eGos.

Just to add my own personal experience. My girlfriend and I both own egos. I think that they're probably one of the best devices out there. I have quite a few other devices, but I find that my ego is generally the one that I carry around with me. I also use the mega atomizer with it. This damn thing can hold like 40 drops of liquid. I really only have to top off a few times a day. Is it the best one on the market...dunno, but I will say that it is a great performer.

Another no problem w/ switch eGo owner here. A few bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch either. Liberty Flights also has eGos, batteries & cones in lots of colors...which I value more than an extra 1/2 hr of vaping.

I don't have any experiaance with the Riva, but I love my EGO too. The button has not malfuntioned for me and the regular attys perform well. Can't wait to try the LR attys though, and the XL Carto's that I ordered last week. From what I have been reading you can't go wrong with either one as they are both solid performers that rate highly against everything at this voltage.
