I'm looking at possibly purchasing a Joye eGo and have a couple of questions. I use a Kr808D-1 right now and love the simplicity of using a cartomizer instead of an atty and cart. I'm looking at the Joye eGo because of the longer bat life it would give me.

  1. Would my Kr8 cartomizers fit on the eGo?
  2. Is the Joye eGo mega cartomizer the only cartomizer that will fit it?
  3. If not, what other cartomizers will fit?
  4. I'm I missing something good by not using an atty and cart?
Thanks for your help.

1) Yes and No, you would need an adapter, cheap and easy.
I love them to try out different combinations of atty / carto

2) No, but they are kinda nice, a little too airy for my taste.

3) Any 510 carto or atty, and with adapters, pretty much anything.
510 has LR, XL, CE2, tank mods, etc.....

4) Yup, dripping, easy flavor changes without changing carto, better taste IMHO,
fun of cleaning atty, ego Mega atty (holds 1.5mL w/blue foam)

The 510 to 901 adapter would work, (901 atty and 808 carto are the same thread)

A 510 to 801 adapter would be nice also, the 801 attys have great flavor and are great for dripping,
if you have a steady hand, they're long, tough to hit center but worth it.

ps: if you get 901 battery to 510 adapter, any of your ego / 510 will work on your KR8

So maybe I'd want to get a few different adapters, 901 to 510, 510 to 901, 510 to 801. They are inexpensive and I'd have them for future possibilities also.

I've used them to experiment with the full range of different attys, cartos, mega attys, mega cartos, 3.2v, 3.7v, 5v vaping in all sorts of combinations. It's surprising how different each combination can be, and to be able to easily switch batteries to any atty / carto with different juices makes comparisons easy.

hummm...ok. Getting a little complicated for me. I think I'll go with the Boge 510 cartos for now.

Good idea. There is a lot to learn and no need to rush into anything. The ego is a good battery. I use both the the ego and the KR808. Also an atty for dripping would be good. Dripping is a good way to try out juices because you only need 2 or 3 drops at a time. In that case you would be using it without the cartridge.

If you do decide to get an adapter for KR808 cartos it should work fine. I have one that goes from a KR808 to a 510 carto. The KR808 runs at about 3.7 volts while an Ego runs at about 3.2 volts even thought they are both 3.7 volt batteries. That means you will get a more intense vape, more hit, smoke and flavor on the same ohm atty or carto with a KR808.
