Amy, I just checked my titanium 900 mah and after 10 seconds it flashes five times and shuts off if you hold the button down. Not a big deal, but it does cut off.

Xiouxsie, thank you for your trying and let us know the result. I am sorry that I did not know that clearly. we will talk with joye tech and get more detailed information posted here soon.

To me it does not matter, you can just take your finger off the button after nine seconds and then push it down again right after, so you still get what you want. Besides, 10 seconds plus the time it takes to flash is PLENTY of time to get more than enough vapor in my opinion.

Also, in the manual it states: "The eGo battery consists of a metal body that has a 3.7 volt 650mAH battery inside(mine is 900, they are still using the old manual for the kit), an atomizer metal cover, an intelligent microchip providing cutoff, and overcharge protection, and a manual push button."

I also tested three other batteries I purchased separately that were not part of a kit, and the stainless, black and blue ones all had the cutoff. All 5 of these batteries I tried were the 900mAH.

a good catch!

all ego batteries have a cutoff time. I will find out how long for them later. Glad to know that the cutoff time does not spoil your fun. ;)

I am sorry that ego 900ma kits use the same manuals for the ego 650ma kits. :(

You know that must be right, it flashes at 10 seconds, 5 times per second and then the light goes out. So it must be like a warning signal, and stays on during those 5 flashes, so 15 seconds total. That should be no problem for anybody. Unless you like to boil your atomizers and cartridges/cartomizers.

Thanks for researching this!

Ive got 2 ego batts, one is the USB PT 650 mah, the other a 900, i never knew they even had an auto cutoff, i guess that means everything else im doing is working well enough, or, i should go to the doctor to have my lung capacity checked..LOL

Also, on a side note, the new CE2 V3/4 ceramic cartomizers , ive read really put out the vapor, so 10 seconds with those cartos might well be moot!
will try when i can get my hands on em :)

And to Amy, I'm very happy with my purchase from HC , will you be carrying the CE2 V3 or 4 ceramic cartomizers for the 510 ?

That's really great to know. Just ordered a bunch of Ego stuff after using a mod for about 12 months. I loved 5v but just got sick of having to spend so long fixing little things on it. I was going to buy an eGo when HC first started to stock them but my choice to go with a mod was partly because I'd had my ecig button accidentally pressed in my pocket and cooking away once too often and wanted an off switch. A 15 second cut off should prevent this and is a great feature.

And If you can suck on an ecig for 15 seconds you've got better lungs than mine!!

Thanks Amy!!

Yeah amy I thought it didn't have a cut off at first too... but that's when I was pressing the button without an attimozer or cartomizer... but with an atty connected it appears to have a cut-off :D

anyway after repeating what already has been said :D... Hope you have a good holiday ...

I was going to give the cover a try but you were sold out when I placed my orders :( No worries there's always next time. And I'll be snapping up a PCC when you get them in any way and that will solve the button press problem as well!!

Cheers Amy!!
