Ok...

I went to the laundromat and emptied all their change machines. I then went to the liquor store and made a purchase. I then proceeded to drink a full 1.75lLs of Crown Royal last night and then filled the empty bottle with quarters.

Does anyone remember how many quarters I put in the bottle? 8-o

:toast:I was really drunk :toast:

One more bump for anyone that would like to enter the contest. Winner will be chosen in just over 3 hours. Last call!

:)

I can't wait to find out! I don't really care if I have the right total. (Well, that's a lie, everybody likes to win!) I just hate suspense.

I never watch anything that I have never seen before during a storm because I've had the power go out and miss the ending of a movie before.

[drumroll] We have a winnah....the total amount in the bottle is....[/drumroll]

$217.25

The person closest without going over had a guess of $212.25

Off by a fin. So close, a lot closer than I thought anyone would get.

Kelly Feehley...Come on down! Pick your starter kit, it'll be on the way tomorrow morning.

Fun contest, and I learned that there are some poker players here. Some of the guesses hedged out gaps and were damn good strategy for such a simple game. I don't think I'll be underestimating vapers again. Next contest will have to be a little more difficult. :)

Congratulations to Kelly! This was fun!

I knew it looked a tad over 3/5 full.

My method for my guess revealed:
1 gallon jug = ~3.785 liters.
1 gallon jug = $750 (give or take a dollar)
1.75 liter bottle/3.785 liter jug = 46.2%
46.2% of $750 = $346.50 (in a 1.75 liter bottle)
3/5 (fullness of bottle) of $346.50 = $207.90

Your 3/5 full estimate was spot on! A roll of quarters wouldn't have raised the level much at all!
