South West FL,
I have a fairly new ego battery that doesnt fire the cartomizer. the light lights up when the button is pushed so I know the battery is getting charged it is just not producing any vapor at all. I have tried it with a bunch of different atty's and cartos. wondering if this is a normal occurance and if it is fixable. Thanks.

Try cleaning contact point with a bit of rubbing alcohol, and a q-tip. I have had the same issue before and this fixed me up. Another issue might be that the battery is not making contact. You can check this by putting a bit of juice on the battery contact (to act as a conductor) reattach your atty or whatever and see if you get anything. If you do it will probably be weak. If you got anything, then take a small screw driver and gently pry up on the battery, making sure to work all the way around the battery. Hope one of these helps you out.

What I find happens most often with these batteries is that at some point an atomizer/cartomizer/charger was put onto the battery too tightly. The positive contact in these batteries "floats" and if over-tightened it is compressed, and will not make contact and because of this, will not fire.

Best bet is to get an eyeglass repair kit with the tiny screwdriver and work your way around the center connection pulling it up slightly. If your battery has an on/off feature, be sure to turn it off first. An incidental button press while a screwdriver is held against the positive and negative contacts could cause the battery to fail.

After you get the connection pulled up a bit, try again. If it works, you're all set. If not contact your supplier, there may be a problem with the battery.

If you do get it up and running again, remember DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN! You're just making contact, not holding a bumper onto your car.
