I'm ordering a Joyetech Cuboid TC 150 as a gift for my son and want to go ahead and get batteries on order, but I'm having trouble finding a spec for the batteries. From the image below (taken from the Joyetech site), those batteries look like raised tops - can anyone tell me for sure what batteries this mod takes?

Also, can the batteries be charged through the USB port, or do I need to get him a charger, too?

Topwater Elvis gave good advice in the duplicate thread. I'd definitely recommend an external charger. The balance charging on the Cuboid is a bit iffy. As for batteries, I'd recommend the Samsung 30q or LG hg2. 3000 mAh and good up to about 120w.

It uses flat top IMR or 'hybrid" INR chemistry batteries with at least a 20a CDR.
A good quality stand alone charger will do a far better & safer job of charging the batteries.

Only buy batteries from reputable sources to avoid fake/counterfeit cells and lesser quality cells re wrapped with erroneous amp rating claims.

Thanks, guys. I actually have some new LG MJ1 IMR batteries en route that I bought for spares, but didn't realize until just now that they're only 10a. I ordered them for their 3000mAh rating and being rather new to this stuff, didn't take their amperage into consideration. Could I use them in the Cuboid? I vape 20 watts on 1.5 ohm single coils, MTL if that makes any difference (not sure what amperage brings to the table here).

10 amps, with two batteries, will be good to about 60w (though you'll get a weak battery warning relatively early). So 20w won't be a problem.
