This is just my opinion. The vapor world has many people with many preferences. This is why i included a description of my vaping style. Some people like a full lung hit at 40+ watts. Some people like to conserve their juice. I'm just saying the the delta 2 isn't for my vaping style. This thread is here to help people to make a decision on what to buy and for people who have issues with the product. I haven't used the rba yet because there's a wealth of info in these threads. I'm waiting until the full revision to come out with reviews. But then again, i think i prefer to rebuild the stock occ heads. That's just me.

Join date Nov 2014... For the past 3 years I've heard equally complaints and praises for Kanger. Again, too many problems for an overpriced tank. There are FAR better things out there...

Wasn't this the Delta thread?

AND Do you really think that a simple change of insulator will change everything? This isn't a new problem for Kanger, it's been happening since the T3, and still they insist on using the same materials.

Relax Susaz. Just chill down a bit. Poking at other members because of their join date is just stupid. They may have been on other forums besides ECF. Not that it matters.

IanD just mentioned a comparison between the Mini and the DeltaII. Common practice to compare tanks no matter what thread you are on. Some of us find it helpful.

You don't like Kanger products...fine, we get that.

The 'peek' insulator works perfect by the way. They work all day long with no melting or bad taste at 30-32 Watts on my 0.5 ohm build.

The Delta heads I received with mine taste and smell like my grandmothers air freshener and you cannot get that out of them. And the whistle is just bad, lazy design IMO.

ugh. Whistle I can live with... air freshener is a deal breaker.

thanks. if I find one locally, I'll check it out. I like the thinking behind the design but I would want to look it over before buying.

Insulators have always been Kanger problem, but this time, at the wattages we're vaping, are more notorious.
Have you seen anybody have insulator problems with RDAs or anything?
Again, this reminds me of the Provari. This time they've ....ed up big time.

Yeah, they messed up for sure, but seem to be correcting it. My problem is how to correct the issue with the smelly Delta2 heads. I opened the sealed box and it just stank like bad perfume. Like I said, I washed the tank and unit, it cleaned right up, but the heads just hold that nasty taste/smell. So I will order the RBA for this. And I will see if I can't figure a way to lessen the whistle issue too.

Just received my first Delta II. The filling is really not that much different than filling a Squape, so I have no issues there. I make my own juice all VG, except for that is already in the Nic and Flavoring. Burned first head. My juice just would not wick enough to keep up. Last night made a new juice just for my Delta II. 60% PG 40% VG. Today wicking is keeping up quite nicely. Flavor is good, although I have nothing to compare it to, because this is a new flavor I have never made or used before. but as the day wears on the flavor is improving, so this second head is needing some break in time.

Even with this juice I am hearing that sizzle when I release the fire button and stop drawing from the drip tip. Hmmmm.... I'll keep using it and see. Currently DNA is reading the atty at 0.5 Watts set to 26.0 Volts reading 3.7v while firing.

Raja, have you heard anyone else having the gross smell coming out of the box and coils? Reason I ask is because mine was fine. I may have gotten lucky. I'm not thrilled over the design but the flavor quality is very good.

I did hear someone say they had a machine oil smell, so I was expecting that, but this is not a machine oil, it is like air freshener with a 'sweet' smell. Maybe a packager spilled her perfume in my box!! LOL Just opened the box again and there it is. Darn.

Whooooaaa dude. You don't know how long I've been lurking these forums before i joined. You're acting like my opinion is hurting your profits. I didn't think that my opinion would offend someone so much. The delta 2 is a nice tank but it's not for me. It's made like the atlantis to deliver clouds and wide open airflow at higher watts. I just like the kanger sub tank mini more because of my preferences. I don't use the rba so I don't worry about the melting issue. The stock coils are easier to rebuild. Some people like chevy, some people like ford. Some even like dodge.

With that being said, i respect your opinion. Just don't act immature about it, please. I know you're better than that.

Ahem, Kanger insulators have always been a problem???? Really?

I've been using Kanger products for over five years, everything from KR808 batteries and cartomizers (yes, KR in KR808 stands for Kangertech) to T2 to Emow--and never had a problem with any insulators whatsoever. The only problem I know of was that with rubber insulators in clearomizers burning when vapers started rebuilding Kanger coils with kanthal (non-NR-R-NR) wire because hot legs were too much for those rubber insulators. Please note that Kanger uses NR-R-NR wire. Kanger subsequently switched to silicone insulators in all of their clearomizers.

The present problem with SubTank insulators failing (often while used with tank-cracking juices like cinnamon and Pluid) has been resolved, AFAIK. Kanger is using new insulators now, and replacement insulators can be had for 50 cents or so.

The insulators on the KangerTech USA site for 50 cents are for the Subtank (original) not the Mini. Different shape than the Mini's deck. I do not see any for the Mini.

I believe the Kanger Mini has the newer high temperature capability Peek insulators as standard.

I've been comparing the Delta II, Subtank and Subtank Mini with four of the juices that I use as "all day vapes" on occassion. This little test has been really interesting.

It seems that there isn't a consistent "better flavor atomizer" between the three for all of the juices. The testing was done with the same power level and airflow adjusted to the same level as best as I can determine and with the same resistance level for both the standard supplied heads and for rebuildable heads when they are available.

For one Juice one tank/configuration may produce the more pleasing vape experience and it seems that for each of the others there is a tank/configuration combination which is optimum for each of the juices.

Right now I can't say which tank has the better flavor because it all depends. Looks like I'm going to have to use a different tank for the day depending on what juice I decide to take with me. It will kind of end up cluttering up my desk with all those filled atomizers standing around waiting but I guess that's the price of being picky about flavor.

There are so many variables between the tanks that it hasn't been possible to explain "why". Maybe it's the wicking / thickness of the juice boundary layer over the coil, or the rates heating or power density at the coil.or one of 20 other things but each juice just seems to like what it likes and it lets me know by the character of the flavor it agrees to produce with a given atomizer.

Understood. It is just that you cannot buy them separately at this time that I can see. People keep saying they are available from Kanger...but they are not available on the Kanger USA website. Mine has the new Peek insulators, but other people are looking to replace the bad one they had.

Anyway, enough of Kanger for now...still waiting for my Delta II RBA. Disappointed that they did not include them with the set up, even more disappointed that the vendor I used was out of them so I could not buy both at the same time. So I wait. (sigh)

did you contact the vendor? I'm sure they would be happy to send you a replacement as well as something a lil extra for ur trouble...

i almost pulled the trigger on the delta after watching/reading the reviews, but w/my eyesight theres no way i could fill her up successfully and of course i cant see how much juice is left so i would also burn her dry.
and the whistling, no thanks

Whistling would eventually get to me, too.

rounding third and heading home...
"The Delta heads I received with mine taste and smell like my grandmothers air freshener and you cannot get that out of them. "

just a note that my coils and tank have no "grandmother" smell. went back and checked my extra coils and sniffed around but did not sense any odor at all- you joked about someone spilling something on your shipment and it sounds like something like that may have happened. i would order another 5pack from another vendor and see if they have the same odor- if they don't i would contact the first vendor for an exchange. so far the delta 2 is performing well with my 50/50 juices and my only complaint is the vertical glass slits are hard for my eyes to judge the fill level unless they are in just the right light. maybe in a future version they can re-design for an easier way to see. i would like a solid piece of glass instead of slits. i may be alone in that but it is a minor problem for me which i would like changed. other than that it is a nice tank producing excellent flavor through a variety of wattages. the rba side is also nice. all-in-all a good tank which will see a lot of use......
