MVS has the clr head, 13.95 for a 5 pack. I placed my order, hopefully good stuff....
I did not have a good experience with this tank and the 1.0 Ohm coil that came with it--ended up using a Subtank Nano on the 2200 mAh eGo ONE battery with decent results. But the Nano does not screw down all the way onto the battery, and the Nano is fractionally more narrow than the battery. Not a big deal, I know, but it bothers me. So, I am giving the eGo tank another shot--just pulled the trigger on the eGo ONE tank with the 0.5 Ohm coil plus a 5-pack of CLR coils. If all goes as planned, the eGo ONE can be my ADV, and the Nano can go on my iStick 30W.
Just bought a subtank nano today myself and am loving it on the ego one battery (using 1.2ohm heads)...I did not have a good experience with this tank and the 1.0 Ohm coil that came with it--ended up using a Subtank Nano on the 2200 mAh eGo ONE battery with decent results. Mine should have been here today but I think tomorrow. USPS is horrible lately.anyone test out the new rebuildable coils?

Got the CLR heads today. Its good no leaking or dry hits yet, but it is only the first tank. Even had it in a warm car and it didn't leak but my egrip rba did. Flavor is much better then the CL heads and vapor production is about the same. I'll update this post with more info later.
[Edit] So I got through the first tank and had a few almost dry hits, not burnt but just loosing flavor. I just close the air flow and take some primer puffs and it was good to go. I probably just need to open the liquid control valve. It came all the way open but I closed it a bit thinking my 50/50 juice didn't need it open.
The bottom pin and insulator look the same size as the CL head so it should be interchangeable for spare parts.
They came in a standard blister pack with some almost comical Chinese translated instructions that go as far as how to wrap a coil.![]()
Here's the coil after the first tank, not bad. Overall I'm quite happy with the new heads.![]()
Thanks for the update on your CLR coil performance. I just installed my first CLR coil, too, and I thought I detected a slight burning smell, even after priming and that bit. I have not really had that happen again, but it's early on this coil. I do notice that the coil continues crackling after I release the button on my iStick at 25W. Don't yet know if that'll happen with my ONE battery (it's charging right now).
UPDATE: Started getting that icky burned cotton smell, repeatedly. Looking down the shaft, coil looked OK, but the smell kept happening. So back to the Subtank Nano, for now. Went to take apart the ONE tank, and the top of the coil was stuck in the chimney. Oh, how fun is that!!!
I had that happen but only with the top cap getting stuck. Do you have the air flow all the way open? I keep mine about 3/4 closed. With this tank i've always kept it that way cl and clr heads, otherwise it would burn. I figured it was my somewhat thick juice.
With the nano, I feel like it lacks vapor and flavor a bit. I always try to poke open the cotton when filling to allow more juice in.
I agree with you there it is not exactly a tank to fill when out of the house. I usually use it as a backup tank to an eroll when at work, and only if I'm going out for short periods. This weekend will be a good test for me i will be a an amusement park Saturday and plan to bring the ego one and my egrip and not any spare liquid. It shoud be enough but if i have leaks then i'll have nothing.I had the airway all the way open--it didn't occur to me to close it off. Maybe I'll try that next. It's a big deal to me to be able to open and refill the tank while out & about. I had been using Nautilus Minis, and the super large seal at the bottom of the tank made refilling without leaks pretty easy. The Subtank Nano is super easy to fill, but I find the small tank seal at the bottom to be a bit too thin--seems like it'll leak sooner than a Nautilus would. So far, this eGo ONE tank is very difficult for me without tools. It would be very hard to refill the eGo ONE tank while on a family outing, like at a zoo with the kids, for example.
It's not a mech mod either. Close to a mech, but definitely not a mech. It really doesn't have a subforum. This thread should be in the mech subforum, not variable voltage
