I have a sxk nebula (brass of course :p). The nickel purity works great, I'm running Ti on it exclusively. Their tc works aggressively, but with the right settings or smooths out nicely.... It's one of my favorite mods... Doesn't hurt that it's just darn right sexy lookin....

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

That nebula is really gorgeous. One thing that I would like is the top for the addy's. I appears as though one could easily fit a 28650 size addy on it without any overlap. I am a great fan of the Zyphyr Buddha and unfortunately it overlaps the sides of all my mods. Does this Nebula have a wood battery sled and an adjustment pin on the base like my Zero does? I finally have my first NP setting mod and it is a great feature. Thanks for your very fine photo.

I am torn between grabbing a "nickel purity" mod, the SMY TC60 (love that screen), or waiting on the Asolo or Wotofo... I'll be interested in your feedback on the Zero...
So far the Zero is what I hoped it would be. One thing I find problematic is the size of the screen .. My old eyes are not what they once were and I find the screen difficult to read . It is clear but too small for my taste. I guess I've been spoiled by the large screens on the Evic and X-Cube. Navigating the menus are also somewhat difficult to get accustomed to on the Zero. Mine has a wood battery sled and the battery needs to be secured by an adjustment screw on the base, I have only just today run through my first battery so I am just getting to know the device, It operates very well and is a good value. There are many other clones now becoming available so it is a difficult choice. Best of luck with your decision making.

No, the mod is solid brass, no wood, with a standard plastic battery sled like you would find in a Hana. It has a cup on top that the atty sits down in, so the larger atty wouldn't fit unless it has a long 510 or adjustable

Thanks for that. Looking closely at your photo I can see the cup. Sad, I guess it won't work for my Buddhas. I might be forced to get a 28650 battery mod someday as I am getting tired of looking at the overhang on my devices. I am sure something will turn up.

Are they a good mod for my first TC mod?

I think so, personally I am using DNA200 devices now and will move to that exclusively, but the evic is a solid performer and is my wife's daily vape rig. The price to performance to battery life ratio is about the best out there right now and it is the mod I recommend to new vapers.

Ni200 is a whole different animal than Kanthal. Its not nearly as springy, and I have yet to get contact coils to work (and likely wont due the physical properties). I wrap mine around a 2.5mm bit, spaced, then compress them to make them smaller. But I make sure no portions of the wire come in contact. Has been working this way for 4 or 5 months with no issue.

I've been having great success wrapping Ni200 around a bolt. It forms perfectly spaced wraps without needing to push/pull the coils into shape. And when the coil is attached on the atty, you simply unscrew the bolt from the coil.

Also, the eVic VT is my first temp control device. I absolutely love it. I was worried about battery life, but these lipo's work great. I charge it over night and get nearly a full days use out of it.
