All I can say is .... ...

I don't mind that the vtc mini is firmware upgradeable and 75w. If I wanted to change batteries during the day I'd already own a single 18650 tc mod but I don't. I just love the 4800mah batt in the VT60 and, and, and I'm already running 430ss with it.

Upgrades? , upgrades? we don't need no stinking upgrades!

Honestly though, I think JTech believes the vtc mini will be a bigger seller due to its smaller size and therefore they're investing more development dollars there.

Interesting though that they caught onto the ss craze so quickly. No doubt they're reading ecf posts like this one and trying to accommodate us. For that I give them..

Aspires Triton v2 made some major improvements
•got rid of that drip tip air control
•made it able to tear down completely
two MAJOR complaints from the vapin crowd
has the 1.8Ω coil & a spare tank glass, included

never cared much for them, but now I'm looking

jus saying ;)

I had my EVic Vt for three months and used it normally. Now it will not turn on. I had issues over the last month where it would say No Atomizer Found even though I had one on there. I got it to work by unscrewing my tank a bit to where I had a 1/32" gap under the tank. Now it doesn't come on at all. Never buying another joytech mod again. Nothing but issues for me.

Is the warranty up? Mine quit charging at less than a month, but it was replaced under warranty.

So, I have been building CLR heads with 26g Ni200 on 2.4 mm coming out to consistent .05 ohms. Vapor and flavor is awesome at 470° to 500° F. Thing is, I don't often see many people building/vaping that low on a single coil with the Evic/Ego One Mega. Wondering if I'm doing something not recommended..and if so, why? Just curious, that's all.

bromix, you're pretty close to their cuttoff for nickel wire, but if it works, keep using it. Any lower and it may not fire at all. Have you tried 28g nickel wire? That's normally what I use for temp control and works well for me. My coils end up around .10 or so. Haven't tried a nickel build in the clr yet though.

You will lose some surface area and probably get a little less vapor. The trade off (like Jeremy posted) is worth it IMO. Faster heat up time and less watts needed to get up to temp. So better on battery life as well. Plus, you won't run into the .05 limit of the device like you are now.

Yep but the trade off is closer than you think.

1 second decent cloud on 28, 1 second probably not up to temp yet with 26. So if compared in a 1 second basis the 28 produces more vapor. It isn't till the 26 catches up that it starts to put out more.

Yes easier on the batteries too. You only have to fire for 1-2 seconds too instead of 3-4. For an almost equal cloud.

jeremy, you make a very good point. Maybe that's why I like 28g so much over thicker wires. I don't like ramp up time of thicker wire. I want to hit the button and have a good vape right away.

26g or thicker wire would work much better in the DNA200. 200watts of preheat will remove the ramp up time trade off.

But for the purposes of this device that's capped at 60watts, I agree that the 28g wire is the better option hands down.

Of course you all could switch over to 24g Ti and get almost as fast of ramp time as 28 Ni. Nickel is a heavy metal where Titanium is a very light metal. Less mass means faster ramp times. Ti ramps faster than SS too.

My timer is at 32389. My puff counter is at 79395. That's less than 2.5 sec per vape with 24 Ti. Pretty big clouds at 30w too.

Well it's been a week since I successfully built a 28g 430ss coil for one if my Evics. All is still good. Vapor and flavor are great running at 280°f with my .58 ohm spaced coil.

Only one negative with 28g 430ss imo, it's dead soft once it's dryburned. It was difficult to get the wick in the coil without disrupting the coil symmetry. It's not as soft as Ni but it is soft. I do like to wick heavy though, so others may not find it so difficult.
