I actually do know this is the way it should work. Here's the test 2 unlocked.
The lock feature is so when you reattach the tank/atty after filling the ohms will stay the same as heat changes the resistance. To keep the TC working right it needs to maintain the same base resistance.

First, thank you for taking the time to make the video. But based on what you said, why didn't we see the Ohm change when it was unlocked? A couple seconds at high heat would change the ohms dramatically but yours didn't budge.

So confused!

Are all these issues people are having with the ego mega tank attached? I have the black version using a kanger subtank with prebuilt ni200 coils, and it has been flawless!

Yeah, I'm using an Ego Mega. I'm waiting for a black subtank Mini from a co-op but it will be at least 2 weeks out. Now I see it's for sale at MVB for a few bucks more. When will I ever learn that I'm not cut out for Co-ops!

I haven't had a problem with the mega tank. Perfect hit very

I read in another thread, that it doesn't have "live" resistance reading, only temp and wattage..and i believe yihi's (and/or dna's) don't even have that?
For me, all that matters is that i don't get dry hits anymore. And thats a huge upgrade compared to kanthal.

Not a live reading. In order to see the change in coil resistance you'll have to disconnect the tank and reattach it while unlocked. ;)

Your welcome for the vids. Anything to help the community.

I was running the Kanger NiOCC coil in my STM, @35W/500F (resistance would stablize after day 1)... and although I like what it was doing, and the device was working great, I didn't like that the flavor was getting muted after day 2-3.. Typical for Kanger coils... So Yesterday I did a RBA Ni build w/28g and its reading at .06ohm and let me tell ya WOW what a difference...

I had to drop the temp dramatically.. I cant believe how warm a vape I get now.. I get the same vape at 400F that I used to get at 500F, and the flavor is kicking. The draw is a little tighter, but that's ok, I want to use the TC/TP for relaxing and flavor, if I want to blow huge clouds I have my Starre for that.. (but if I put my new setup at 500F the clouds are pretty sick)

Still playing with this eVic VT, but I'm almost a week on it, and each day it has been my main device, and so far so good. Yeah there are a few minor tweaks that could be made to it (whould of been nice for them to be able to do firmware upgrades to fix them) but overall, for the price, this device is a home run... Remember, those that don't like the way it uses TC/TP still have a 60w device that they can use in power mode that is better then most regular devices out there...

@BNEAT
I don't think any of us know what it's supposed to be doing. I think there was just a misunderstnding when someone said it was changing on the screen. Although, I wish it did work like that.

Ok so It's normal you don't see the changes, good to hear!

BTW did you all checked the installed firmware? mine is 1.18, you can do this by turning the mod off and again on but this time with 20 clicks, it will show the firmware.

Well what do you know. I took 5 drags unlocked. Reconnected the tank and my ohm jumped up to .23. It then finally asked me if it was a new coil. I said no, and it reverted back to .19. Maybe I just a have a crappy coil/tank. @BNEAT, how much did we bet again?

Yeah, that's the way I see it too.

Not sure about anyone else, but my issues were only with the Ti coil in the Mega (except for an isolated case when I had juice in the 510)

It's a big minus that we cannot upgrade the firmware.

I only use Ti so maybe that's related yes

my issues have been with ni200 and I haven't tried the TI yet.

Well crap, Now I'm starting to wonder if it a Ti thing: My "known to be stable" tank that started off hitting hard at 440 now has to be 490 to get the same hit, but the resistance hasn't changed like the Mega did.

I'll give it a few hours and see what it does, but I really want to put my Kayfun with nickel back on it and see how it behaves. It's the only thing that's vaped perfectly on the eVic so far, but it's the only nickel I've had on it.
