Maybe, don't know about resistance changes, mine never does it. If i unscrew atomizer when hot and put it back on, it shows higher resistance, but jumps back to previously locked resistance when fired.
Same here, but then again I have only been using the ego one mega topper. What toppers are the folks who are having the dropping locked resistance using? Has anyone ever experienced this using the Joytech toppers?

If you test fire the coil on the mod prior to wicking, all should be good. It's only supposed to do that test once, not each time you fire. So let it do its test, then wick.....burnt wick problem gone :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
You pulse a 1.8 ohm coil long enough for it to go back into normal wattage mode, you burnt up your coil. Coil doesn't last long enough for it to sense and bump back down to lower wattage. It would more than likely be ok with wicking, but the chance of burnt wicking could be pretty high.

yep it looks like the problem its really my lemo v2 and Subtank type of 510 pin/mterial , no problems so far with my Mutation X2 RDA (copper 510 pin) , constant resistence and ambient temp coil !

maybe the Evic Vt 510 conector its not very good in TC Mode with that type/material of 510 atomizer pins !

yep , with my previous evic VT kit (the 1st one) i had same problem with ego one tank (the Ego One also have the same type of 510 pin as the lemo v2 , Subtank) ! this 2nd Evic VT i received its the Express Kit (no Ego one included)

1 hour now testing with my MutationX (510 copper pin) Ni200 coil and no problems SO FAR ! With subtank and lemo v2 after a while i have the resistence drop and ambient coil temp not correct and only solution is unscrew and screw in the atomizer again !

Edit: its Not the Pin :(

best regards

just recevied today the 2nd evic Vt (first one RMA) this one also have same problem , i screw in a tank with Ni coil 0.15ohm , box reads ambient temp ok (21c) you just need to clik 1x in fire button to chek the temp , fires Ok at 420F or 220c but if i dont use the Box for 10 minuts when i use it again the resistence changed to 0.12ohm and the ambient temp of the coil its 80c (dont go lower than that) and now i need around 280c to vape ok , the only solution its unscrew the RTA and screw again and the resistence reads again 0.15ohm ......

im tired , 2nd unit not good !
Mine doesn't act like that at all. I'll set it down for an hour or two while I'm using something else or just charge overnight and I just pick it up and start vaping. I've never had any of those issues so I'm wondering if its something else. I've used a couple of different at attys (both ni200) but I think I might try a kanthal subohm just to see what happens.

Just got my Evic VT, and so far I'm enjoying it!

Anyone using a Kanger Sub mini with nickle occ coils, and care to tell me what setting they're using?

With my SX mini, I had it set to 480 f, but with the Evic, I'm finding that 520f is a warmer, more pleasant vape, but it keeps cutting off ("protection" displayed). I raised it to 570f @ 41w, but will I burn the cotton at this temp when the tank goes dry?

Even at 570f, it still keeps showing "protection"....

Thanks for any input!

Battery drops off full relatively quickly, however stays in midrange for LOOOOOOOOONG time. I've vaped it 3 days before charging, and I still had plenty left in it.

How many mils of juice is that? What temp setting? What preheat setting? I almost kill my VT battery every day.....20ml, 520°f, 41.5w.

I have no idea, but I know I've heard other people in this thread having the same problem. Mine still vapes fine, I just have to raise the temp (a lot)
Right? Mine shows .2ohms ambient. If I let it sit for a while I often get the "new atty error". If I tell it to retain current atty is does, or does it? My temp has to be turned up or down to get the previous vapor production even though it shows the same ambient res! It's frustrating because I can't see what it's thinking.....lol

I'm not using the Kanger STM, but according to Busardo's review, compared to the SX, the Evic VT runs "cool", meaning that the temperature you actually achieve is lower than what you set it at, and the higher you set it the more it lags. The chart he showed would seem to indicate that if you set it to 500f your are really only getting up to 400f.

so not all the evics Vt have this problem??

so i need to send it back again?

best regards

They all "settle.." I'm betting that you are using an ST mini. Mine settles in at .12 ohm, doesn't change after that...vape between 480-500* F, and without doing the math, you seem in same range C wise. It's normal!

From fully charged to blinking battery indicator, with the Ti head on the ego one mega and stealth function off, 480f, 35w, resistance locked at 0.42 ohm I got
27 hours (including 8 hours of sleep for me and the vaporizer) of battery life
272 puffs
1344 seconds of vaping time
and I didn't keep track of juice consumed.
I was a bit underwhelmed, as I sense you are. I think the best way to evaluate the health of any unit's battery is to factor in temp setting and vaping time achieved over the course of a charge, giving consideration also to coil resistance (because the lower the resistance, the greater the drain on the battery to achieve any set temperature)

After reading a bunch on this thread, I went ahead and ordered one and today it arrived. I been vaping a kanger STM on it ever since it arrived and I gotta say, I like it better than my IPV 4's. I screwed on my STM and it showed it has a .06 ohm coil where my IPV4 shows it at .05. Is there a way like with the IPV4 to set the resistance of the coil? I was reading in this thread that it was done automatically.

There's many many individual factors the will determine battery life between each other.

I think the best figures to follow are puff count, vape timer, and power / temp level and ml.

If your vaping 20ml a day thats pretty extreme to me. I vape about 6 ml a day on average, kanthal at 35-40w. I get almost 2 1/4 days, 734 puffs 1266 sec.

The istick 50w did last me just as long if not a 1/4 day longer.. No 4 minutes of resistance monitoring after the vape on the i50.
