Really? My VT doesn't scorch my rayon ever. Same as my dna. Well maybe not as precise but still no scorching. Maybe I'm lucky.

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Waht temp are you running yours at for rayon. I seen rayon ignite temp is like 420 but I prefer my vape at 450.

Stealth function and battery life on the Evic VT, E1M topper, Temp Ti, 480f, 35w, 0.42 ohms:
Stealth function off = 272 puffs, 1344 seconds vaping time from fully charged battery to blinking icon
Stealth function on = 305 puffs, 1599 seconds
So it looks like with these settings, stealth mode increases vaping time on a full charge by almost 20%.

Quick summary of my experience with the evic:

Started with the stock Ni coil on the Ego one mega. Initially worked really well but soon had problems with documented juice flow issues if I chain vaped for any length of time. Don't get me wrong it's not bad but should be better.

Swapped to the Ti Coil which seems much better to me but still suffers wicking issues at times. NorMal setting I'm using with ego one tank is 500-520 F

I then picked up an Ni OCC coil for my old SUBTANK nano. And the difference was amazing. Setting at about 470F no wicking issues and much better flavour.

Today I picked up one of the new black SUBTANK mini's and couldn't be happier with the vape. Looks great on the black VT too.

I will try the ego one tank again when I can get hold of the CLR Nickel coils, but will stick with the STM for now.

My ADV Kayfun has a SS tank on it now. I don't refill until TC tells me too...unless it's in my eVic, then a nice scorched Rayon hit reminds me to fill-er-up
I'm pretty sure, you should get almost no vapor, before you can get a hint of a dry hit even at higher temps. There are a lot of youtube reviewers testing dry cotton at even 500+, and it didn't burn it..
I only use rayon, and can feel it at first hit when the wick is getting dry, as there is less vapor. No idea how you get those scorched hits. When i got my evic i tested it a few times, just to see what happens if i vape it completely dry..got to the point where my rayon was almost as white as new. Almost no vapor, but never a hint of dry hit? Guess there are some faulty ones out there as you are not the only one complaining, but on the other hand there are probably also many good ones.
I really don't have no gain at defending this product, but i think people reading this have to see that its not all bad for everyone.

I'd buy the VT60 for the $55 I paid at Vapenw even if it didn't have temp control. The vape in the power mode is smoother than any other regulated device I own. The battery capacity is great. The looks are great too if you're in to sports cars....I am. The tc is just a bonus for me and works great on res stable attys...both in Ni and Ti modes. No complaints here.

I got mine from Vapenw too and didn't buy it for the TC, not used TC on it once, and don't know if I ever will, but it is a awesome device just in power mode, it has the looks, and long battery life, I paid more for my IPV4, but the evic-vt looks so much more expensive :)

I want to thank Bloke and Teach for their comments on my TC noobie concerns a couple of pages back. I fired up my Evic today and must say I am ecstatic. My first trial has been with a Velocity RDA. I built two 7 wrap 24 ga Nichrome80 spaced coils on the atty and that gave me .18 ohms. I was hoping for a bit lower but figured this would be ok. Wicked and juiced with my favorite juice "Deadly Sin" that prior I had used largely in an STM. Fired up the Evic and started at 460F and 45 W. Pretty warm vape. After some trail and error and getting familiar with the menu adjustment procedure I ended up vaping with the settings at 30 watts and 340 F where I found it very satisfying. I am getting the most amazing flavor I have ever experienced. I have fallen in love with this my very first TC device. All of my prior worries and concerns of defective functioning have been alieved. Possibly I will be less thrilled after some more time passes but, if this VT continues to perform as it has today then I will be a true TC convert.

I do have one question that has to do with the difference between the Ni200 and Nichrome 80. On the SteamEngine coil app there certainly is a large difference in the TCR of the two wires. Any recommendation or ideas for reasons to use one or the other. Thanks guys for the help.

After having this mod for a week and trying the stock coils, I'm now using my lemo 2 with an 8/9 wrap Ti coil, and bamboo rayon.
    Temp 460f, 32watts, 0.41ohms coil.
It's a fantastic vape, producing thick clouds of vapor.
It's doing what I paid for, I couldn't be happier with it.
The high watts use a lot of juice, but that's to be expected.
The biggest difference was using bamboo rayon, it's the best wicking material I've used so far.
It absorbs the juice like nothing else.
Temp protection kicks in if I hold the fire button without vaping, as it should.
    For a $60 mod, it's doing everything I expected.
Kanthal, nickel, and titanium, all work as expected.
What more can you ask for?

I paid AU$74 which is around US$60, just the mod, without the tank.
If I wanted to use stock Ni and Ti coils, I'd use my Delta II, it is a great tank.
I also have the Smoktech’s TCT tank. Which has Ni and Ti coils.
You should be able to locate the evic for $60, at most online stores.
I get the feeling people are expecting the evic to vape a specific way. It isn't a problem for me, it vapes really well and the TC kicks in if needed. If the ohms jump around a little, and you can't set the watts lower than 30watts, that's ok, they drop below 30 when you're vaping.
The battery life decreases a little after a few cycles, but it still lasts over a day.

how come you use 24 ga Nichrome80 in temp control ??!!!!!! is it even possible, and if it worked did temp control functional effectively ?

I'm pretty ocd about charging my batteries every night, so I'll never knew how many days I can get off of a charge.... All I ask of it is one day and I'm tickled, considering some of my mods can go through 3 or 4 18650's a day easily (zna50, invader mini). This thing can handle me chain vaping all day. If I don't feel like bringing my whole kit, I can just take this one mod and a bottle of liquid and know it will last the day.....priceless :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

i'm totally agreed with you, but i think the battery could lasts more than 1 day , my build all between 0.06 to 0.11 if i build it 0.20 am i will feel difference in battery life ? i dont have ni200 28ga to test right now i only have 26ga
On a regulated mod, the wattage/power you vape at has far more to do with your battery life then your build resistance. On a VW mod, a .5 ohm and a .9 ohm say... Would last pretty much the same if you were running them both at 35 watts. Haven't played with tc enough to know if that holds true to temp settings, since the wattage bounces around to maintain temp. I do know there simplest way to prolong life a bit, is to adjust your settings so the mod doesn't have to work hard to maintain the set temp...i.e. just enough wattage to get to to desired temp without cycling through temp protection too much.
