I just purchased this mod and love it except the pass through charging port does not seem to be working. Has anyone else had this problem. I've asked for an exchange from where I purchased but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem. I need to be able to charge while I'm away from home and in car traveling.

This will sound real stupid but its upside down in the mod. I only say this because I tried to plug mine up backwards. Its also funny that I can charge my phone with the cord that came with the evic mini but it wont charge on my phone charger

My suggestion would be to invest in an external charger and a couple spare battery's, best investment you can make, not to mention it being very cheap insurance down the road ...............

I can get the cord in, it just doesn't work. Thanks though, I'm always flipping my cords the wrong way, so that's the first thing I try lol

I do have and external battery charger and 2 batteries. I need to get some better batteries though because these drain very quickly. I need to be able to plug this into my car or at work so need the pass through to work correctly.

If you had a quality charger you could charge in the car or at work VC2 Charger
Just use your car phone cord and plug it in.

Check whether the cable is the problem by trying another cable?

Does anything at all happen on the screen when you plug in?

I have an evic vtc mini; my charge port works.
It is extremely important because you need to use it for firmware upgrades.

Oh that's another thing, you can check whether your computer sees the device when you plug it in; I mean I suppose it is possible the charge function is not working but the usb communication is.

But ultimately if its new and defective, I hope you get a replacement.
