I'm new to vaping (started last Tuesday), and I think I've all ready outgrown my V2 starter kit. I seem to go through about 3 cartridges a day, and the 120mah battery doesn't last me too long (I'm always having to charge it). I think that I'm going to try to go to the Joyetech eVic for a bigger, more tech PV, and put a tank with it for a larger volume of liquid (I'm hoping for 2.5ml to 3.5ml) but I don't know if that would be good for while I'm out and about.

Currently I keep 1 battery with a cart on it for smoking, 1 battery in the charging case (charging), and like 2 other carts in the case for when one goes empty or gets too hot. I keep this all in my jeans pocket, and would like to have something that would still allow me to keep in my poket (without the tank attached), and not require me to get a lanyard or carry a small case with me. I mean, I keep my phone (a Samsung Galaxy Note 2) in my other pocket, and that things huge, but I just don't think that the eVic would fit comfortably.

I'm wondering if I should get a volcano Inferno, or a Joyetech ego-C / eGo-T since I know the size of these would allow them to fit in my pocket. Should I get a smaller one, or just go straight to the eVic? What would be the downside to either, and what would you recommend?

Go with the ego-T. Not only does the ego T fit all Ego type connections it also fits the 510 style threads. The Volcano Inferno is too proprietary for my tastes. The inferno wont match up with any Ego Clearos etc. I would stick with the more open source product which is the Ego -T. I've had my joyetech ego batt. for about a year now and it still works like a champ. I have an inferno too ( i bought it when i was a noob); but, i had to file down the connection part with a dremel so it could accept ego style clearos and such.

You should also check out the Vision eGo Spinner 1300mAh Variable Volt Battery, Black

It has standard 510 threads, so you can use it with many different tanks. I think you would be happier with a eG-C, as they are variable voltage. With a 3.7 v battery, you need to use only low OHM coils. With a vv, you have a broader range of things to work with.

I know that if I go for the smaller battery style, I want to get at least a 1000mah. Do I HAVE to use the little tank with the eGo-T, or can I use a different tank with it (like a Vivi Nova or something)?

i would avoid the volcano batterys if you think you will ever was to try kanger t3's or anything that uses ego threading the volcano ego batterys dont have the outer threads,
as far as the evic goes i cant recommend one they seem to break in half on people alot and dont seem very durable, maybe get a vamo or zmax, they do the same as the evic and are much more durable they just dont have the puff counter(im yet to meet someone who uses that feature anyways)

I'm partial to the vv VW units and there are a lot of them out there I rock a lava tube telescope and evic the others are pretty much the same thing made by the same companies in Hong Kong and mainland china the ordinary batteries are OK if you have 2 of them just in case one dies. The same can be said for the vv vw mods also no juice no cape. Do as much research as possible and be an informed customer that way you don't get a bum deal.

eVic battery will go 20 hours+. I only charge it at night.

I also recommend jumping straight to the eVic. It's a much more powerful and versatile device than any eGo-style product. I pocket my eVic all the time. It's only a problem if you wear skinny jeans.

If you have 120mah batteries now. The mid size ego twist 900 is like having 8of them in one device. So 8x the battery length, the versatility of variable voltage, ego threads AND 510 threads to take any and every (just about) tank available. I have a twist and I carry it all the time. I also would look at the zmax or vamo if you are getting into mods. Like the evic they are physically bigger, but I carry my zmax every day without a problem.

sent from my s3 like a derp.

Assuming you are a guy wearing skinny jeans, if you angle the eVic correctly in your pocket, it could be a positive thing.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the feedback.

 What should I get if I want to vape in the car, but I don't want to deal with pushing the button? Something that will hang from my mouth (probably biting it), but that will not be too heavy for mouth holding? It doesn't have to hold as much liquid since I usually drive only 1-2 hrs per day.

If you are a person that takes care of your gear, the eVic is an good solid choice. I rotate 2 constantly along with some other toys.

If you are more abusive a Vamo may be the better choice. It is more of a beater mod, works very well but has less features.

If you has the cash a Provari would also be an excellent choice.

the inferno from volcano ecigs got me off the monkey. used it with their 7ml tank setup, and 36 mg tobacco juice. payed the inferno forward to a co worker as it was given to me by someone i barely knew, and it is helping him. for a good starter set-up i highly recommend it. if you are successful making the switch, then move on to a better mod. and more attachments
