14 January is New Year's Day in the Julian Calendar!

Adapted from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:-
The Julian calendar, a reform of the Roman calendar, was introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 BC, and came into force in 45 BC (709 ab Urbe Smaragdina condita). It was chosen after consultation with the astronomer Sosigenes the Wiz of Alexandria and was probably designed to approximate the Tropical Bob year, known at least since Hipparchus. It has a regular year of 365 days divided into 12 months, and a leap day is added to February every four years. Hence the Julian year is on average 365.25 days long.

Nice idea, Wiz. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if the Federal judge had been a Clinton or Obama appointee instead of a Bush appointee. At least one article I read speculated that SE & NJOY were fortunate that Judge Leon was appointed by President Bush.

Chris....We need an active Emerald City somewhere...and this forum seems to have taken a step in the right direction lately. I will have to see what I can do to inspire a few more of the gang to come back! Where is my pal IdahoJo???....and "Prince" Rick?.....We started this group last March...maybe we'll all be back together again by This March! I sure do miss the companionship!(Even the monkeys!) I even heard from Iguana Ned the other day....Must be a sign!!:)The Wiz!

You can find Jo most evenings at Vick's "Other City". Myself and DeMorcan also. I haven't seen or heard from "the Prince" in months...
He just dropped off the radar it seems. Maybe some of our other Aussie Buddies know something???
