Been using the Vivi Nova tanks for a couple of weeks now and just started noticing the color of the juice seems to be getting darker the longer it stays in the tank. I have been replacing the heads between 7-12 days so I feel like those are not the problem. Also used several different juices and color still seems to darken. Typically I fill up in the morning and top off throughout the day a couple of times. Never really let it get below .70ml gauge on the side of the tank. Haven't noticed a ton of difference with the taste but i believe there is some.

Maybe I'm just crazy

no, you're not crazy. the juice will steep itself over time. like all the ingredients and flavors are melding together. when you make your own juices you notice this much more and can even taste the difference. think of it like a fine wine, gets better with age! it's totally normal, i think most places will say the shelf life is about six months, so no fear, keep on vapin!

I have two ideas/theories,

At least in my experience, the color of the juice does get darker over time with the natural steeping process.

I do not use the Nova but I do use (and love them to death) Kanger T-2 clearomizers. And with use, the juice does indeed darken in the Kanger a lot quicker than it does in the bottle. A lot quicker and when it get's really really dark (and the Kanger is almost empty) I drain the last few drops out and refill with fresh juice.

Back to the theory, for vape to form, the juice must be heated in the head to produce said vape. I believe that the residual heat either rather rapidly speeds up the steeping process or even even "burns" either the juice itself or particles in the juice which stay in the clearomizer until cleaned out. If not cleaned out, you retain the dark juice and when you add fresh juice it just dilutes the darkened juice.

This is my theory and I am sticking to it until someone much more experienced than I (and please do jump in on this one) with a greater IQ offers a better explanation!

Anyway, you should not worry about it. I don't!

Juice turning dark in a Vivi Nova isn't a case of a steeping color change. Juice in the Nova circulates through the coil via the wicks. When the coil heats the juice it darkens, kind of like heating liquid in the bottom of a pan for a long time. Darkened juice circulates back through the reservoir and mixes with the fresh juice. It's all normal. If the juice starts tasting funny or thickens, it's time to dump the dregs, shake the excess out of the head and fill with new juice. I sometimes clean or replace my head at the same time, depending on how it's working at the time.

I went through several light sabers before I figured out that when it got dark it typically got thick as well and would slow the wicking and burn them up. Now I know when it gets dark dump it. You waste some liquid, but its better than waiting on a new setup.

That's what I do with my Vivi. I dump it and wash it out and of course dry it good, which is usually followed by realizing how far my flavor quality had gone downhill.
Hi you need to dump it and wash it all out also when you change the coil look at the wire you will find it burnt and black that is what is changing the color of the fluid and the taste.
I do all the above also i make my own coil to put in the tank that way it also cuts the cost down.:vapor:
