Curious Do you generally clean and dry burn your coils when your juice starts to turn dark or do you wait until you get a bad taste? I pretty new to all this. The juice I like tends to be sweet and foul the coil or at least discolor the juice daily.
Thanks!

Some juices turn dark due to the heat but they are still fine to vape. I always wait until it starts tasting bad before cleaning and replacing coils. Even when the juice turns dark, I continue to refill, just swap out the coil until I decide I want to change flavors. That's the only time I clean my tank out. Some juices mess up coils quickly. Then I've had some juices that turn dark but the coils will last a long time.
I don't worry about the color of the liquid, just clean/replace coil/wick when performance becomes unacceptable. Depending on the liquid though, sometimes it pays to clean before it gets to bad, otherwise cleaning can be difficult.
I have one juise that starts out clear and after the third tank or so (protank) it is really dark, and also tastes bad. So at that time the tank is washed as well as the coil. refilled and the coil is usually good for another round

I'm using iclear16 top coil and vision v3 single coil top coil - I cut the wicks in half for both types. I run the iclear16's at about 3.5v (2.1 ohm) and the vision at about 4 volts (2.4 ohm). I know that the bottom coil stuff is supposedly better but I don't think they taste as good of vape as well. Im using spinners and twist batteries and sweet juice like Highbrow vapor caramel, chai, and waffle. These are my favorites The fruit stuff doesnt turn dark as fast but it also doesnt taste as good to me.
I havent let them go too long without cleaning when they go dark Just wondering if its OK to just let them go dark and keep vaping.
Thanks!
Juice will get darker just left in its own bottle, that's part of the steeping. In the tank, there is less juice and it gets more exposure to sunlight and temperature change.
Your results may vary, but this is how I do it:
Juice turning dark - Vape on 'til the flavor begins changing or you get disgusted looking at the 'muddy looking juice'. Then clean and refill the tank
Replace the atomizer head - when vapor production and/or flavor decreases.
Video on cleaning and dry burning the Iclear16 atomizer head. I soak mine in everclear/vodka for a few hours before I dry burn. Cleaning / Dry Burning iClear 16 Clearomizer / Tank - YouTube
