Juice distillation with tanks?

Built myself a couple of tank mods, one with a dual coil cartomizer inside, and one using CE2's. I have noticed that when reaching the bottom of the liquid level, and particularly if refilled, the juice inside seems to be distilling down to a more concentrated level. The juice may start out a light yellow in color, but by the time the tank is empty, the juice has darkened down considerably. I attribute this to some type of distillation, leaving more of the flavorings behind. This changes the flavor of the juice, and I am not sure I like this large of a container of juice. Because of this, I like to use clearomizers, and clean them out after a couple of fillings. Any comments or suggestions?

Hmmm...IMHO, I think the change of color is more likely due to the effect of UV and heat on the juice.

"Distillation" would suggest that the juice is getting hot enough to boil and then condense inside the tank. It is possible that the heat is vaporizing some of the carrier PG in the flavoring, leading to a 'concentration' of colorant - do you notice any change in flavor?

I call the residue of vaporization spent liquid, common in atomizers. Because your atty is sitting in a tank, the spent liquid from the carto in this case is mixing with your fresh juice.

This occurs naturally in attys as not all the liquid is vaporized and hence why we blow our atties out went they start to taste foul. A quick blow through remedies the problem, not so easily done with a tank system. Although you will get a certain amount of darkening due to UV, that is not the problem.
