Hi All

I use Tobacco flavour juices. The issue is that they dont taste at all when i inhale.
I use Eleaf TC 100 W , wih NI 200 coils 0.15 ohm mouth to lung
I use Aspire atlantis tank

I played with temp from 170 degrees to 220+. At one pount around 220 when inhaling the tank start to gurgle and i guess that is like the upper limit, if i go upper then vapor becomes very very dense and hot

Is there anything else to try ?

I hope someone chimes in. I use mostly tobaccos, but almost all VG. I dont use them on reg devices nor really know about TC devices.

But I do know that tobaccos loose alot of the subtle tastes when they are heated too much and have too much airflow. I use them mostly on RDAs with the exception of a couple of my DIY NET that are very light in colour and have a bit more PG.

Im a tobacco-nut and have never had good experience when I make my coils are lower than .85 resistance. I like to keep my tobaccos at a bit under 1.0, it all depends on the atomizer and airflow.

I hope someone out there uses tobaccos successfully with the type of gear you use.

Hi,
What brand of juice are you using? Nic level?
Do you exhale thru your nose AND mouth?
How many watts are you using?

Cheers

I wish I could give you more details, but Im an avid mech fan. I inhale my NET tobaccos mouth to lung because it just tastes so good. I like to enjoy them relaxed and slow.

Watts, the couple of times I used my RDAs on my box mod, I think I had it at around 10watts? I know, not very impressive, but for the tobaccos thats what kept me happy with the taste and got more than decent clouds.

With my other liquids, such as my DIY simple mints or light fruits, I lung in hale thru nose and mouth and can go higher in watts ( 12 watts?) and make my coils at about .80 ? Again, I find that to be an enjoyable warm and comfortable vape.

Oh the brands, I use NET from Naturally extracted tobaccos.com, but Ive leaped into DIY NETs and have a feeling I wont be buying a lot in the future except for a couple flavors such as their Gypsy Blonde.

Nic level , used to be at 12mg, but now down to 6mg, usually 70Vg or more.

SOmething i see that the first hits at the beginning of day last very nice, full flavour. As i vape more the flavour dissapears
Another thing: if i quickly draw for around 0.5 , 1 sec , i get little vapur but i can taste better the juice ....
If i vape full 3-4 seconds , beside big clouds i dont feel any taste -_-''

i Could try above 1 ohm, but for Temp control most are <=0.5 ohms for my atalantis v2

Ok, what type of tobacco liquids do you use and are they thick and sweet? Tobaccos unless they are synthetic : Dekang types are very , very hard on coils. I have to change my wick and clean my coils daily, and that using 3 atties daily. I probably go thru 3 ml at the most , more like 2 and my coil is wrecked, gunked, gross and taste and vapor production goes down fast depending on flavor.

OOPs, sorry, thought you were the OP. WHat gear do YOU use :)
I'm simples...
for TC, I have a VF mini Ti@.38Ω 400F/13W-15W - RDA Nectar nano clone
Everyday carry is:
an Esterigon/Tilemahos V1 hybrid /spring-o-mizer @.9Ω
LP/SL Grand /Manta2 clone single SS coil at .9Ω

Tobacco is DIY 20% PG / 5% RY4double(TPA) /6% nic. (okay... I have some 24mg boba's left, but that is only for special occasions.)

I hate MOST tobaccos, they taste of ASH and alfalfa , IMO.
for a cigarette like taste, I use unflavoured also in the 20% PG range.

OP:
Try lowering your watts so yo can take a longer drag with out the TC limiting current.
Add a bit of nose exhale to pick up some more flavour.
If you have another juice with a different flavour profile, swapping between them may help.

The juice is very thick and sweet. Like caramel + tobacoo.

Do you think shall i adjust my max watts? My MOD anyway adjust watts based on target Temp by lowering them
Perhaps try.
A VW Golf and a Corvette can both go 100MPH... but it takes longer to get there in the Golf.
Start low.
Playing and learning your equipment will increase your enjoyment.

Cheers

It most likely a problem you are going to have to live with. Im a tank/RTA user and unfortunately had to live with the fact that if I love tobaccos, especially NET or the sweet coil killers, I had to live with once a day or more of coil cleaning.

If your vape starts off great but then flavor and vapor production goes down, it makes me think that adjusting temp and wattage etc, might make a difference, but its kinda futile.

I only use a couple NET on one RTA and I can go thru 3ml to 5 on a coil and wick, or keep my tobaccos on a good dripper.

SO far no one else with gear like yours and tobacco love has not chimed in with some possible solutions.
C'mon, I know there are some tobacco lovers that use TC and reg, and similar set ups. :)

Conclusion. I ran out of temp control NI coils. I bought 2. Each of them tasted foul, bitter taste. I therew them both , i switched to a non temp Kantal coil , and i vaped 6 ml on it no problems with good taste
I think the industry needs to get its s_h_it together as i suspected the coils i bought from the city shop were fakes (in fact all coils come from China !!...what is their quality controls ?)

Any pointers for someone wanting to start making their own juice ..... The country I live in doesn't sell vape gear (illegal) so I have to buy the smuggled in stuff at nearly 5 times the original cost ....

Well, there is a LOT of info on here: DIY E-Liquid

Im a very heavy vaper and I would easily go thru so much money on store bought. Its not unusual for me to go thru a total of 20-30ml a day. Most of that is 3mg nic.

I started out with a simple peppermint. Easy. There are juice calculators to help too, check that link above.

I got a bit more exotic and always have my mint, strawberry-pineapple, cherry on hand. I mix those up to my mood. I love NET tobaccos so the money I saved justified the cost of good NETs. I kept hearing that it really was not that hard to do your own NET except having some patience if you want to do it the easiest way which is getting some tobacco ( I use a cigar ) crush it, and put in a jar, cover with PG, wait for a few weeks depending on tobacco leaves. There are faster methods but involves heating etc.

After the long wait, then strain add some PG/VG with some nic base and you have liquid...

I really enjoy my basic very light fruits. I started out just fudging on the amount nic with a calculator, and then guess-timated the flavors and it was always close, but Im not picky. Then I started using a DIY juice calculator to see if I got more consistent outcomes and found Im really sensitive to flavors so I make them at 1.5 % , most people do 5%. That was way too much flavor for me, dang I made a 120ml bottle at 5% and was able to make another whole bottle with that.

Its fun and it is very satisfying to save on liquids. It can be as easy or complicated as you like, with my simple flavors there is no waiting or steeping needed, tastes great new, same with my cigars. NO STEEPING needed.
