Last week, 3 days after quitting analogs and starting to vape, I placed an order for 30mL of V4L's Parliament flavor since that's what I smoked before and at the time I thought I'd want something close to it. Fast forward to today. My package arrived today, I filled a fresh new carto, sat down to vape and ...

Ugh! It tastes like smoke. And not sweet smoke, but acrid, nasty, ashy cigarette smoke. I haven't had an analog since I started vaping (8 days and counting!), but it's what I imagine analogs would taste like now. So now I have 30mL of a flavor I can't stand, and a carto that's going to need to be boiled or tossed. Live and learn, I guess

Unfortunately, juice is soooo subjective. I've never ordered anything from that vendor so I can't comment - but you may want to check out the classifieds. There may be someone on here who loves it.

Live and Learn, indeed :) I have a box full of "crap" e-juice that little by little is making it's way to the trash due to how long it's been sitting there ...

Congrats on your 8 days!

It's not stopping me. I have a little more than 15mL of V4L 555 juice remaining, and a camel-flavored juice I bought at a local smoke shop out of distress (running out of cartos, new orders pending or shipping but not arrived yet, needed something to keep me analog-free until my orders arrived). I have several 5 mL samplers on the way from fsusa, and I'm browsing around all of the different sellers tonight looking for interesting flavors.

However I did learn two things from this. First, I don't really want an analog replacement juice for my PV. I'm not super interested in overly sweet flavors (got a waffle sample and butterscotch sample from V4L, liked the waffle but not so much the butterscotch), but coffee, cocoa, etc should be good. I know from a previous vaping experiment a year and a half ago that I do like chocolate but not vanilla. Second, don't buy large quantities until I know what I like. I'm getting a bunch of 5mL bottles to try out, and will go for bigger bottles and a larger stockpile once I find my "all day" juice.

For now, the 555 will keep my vaping until the postman can bring new stuff.

We all have juices that didn't live up to our expectations. Once way to salvage them, especially tobacco flavors, is to mix them with something else. I like vanilla tobacco and pretty much any tobacco tastes better with it. I've also mixed fruit and tobacco with good results. You can do it right in the cart or carto, although it's easier if you're dripping.

This may sound like beating a dead horse, but if one person likes a certain juice, you might hate it. It really is a trial and error process. I personally like somethings about V4L and hate some things also. I have had a couple of items from them stop working in a very short period of time. In my opinion, thier juices are the same way... I love some and HATE some of them. I found thier coffee to be pretty good, so you might want to try that out. Out of the people I know that have tried different juices the best ones I have purchased from V4L are sour green apple, coffee, pineapple, and menthol. Most of the berry flavors I have tried from them have a perfume taste to me. Some people are very against them, but I like a lot of Dekang flavors. My favorate from them so far is the flue cured tobacco.

My experience with boiling/cleaning cartos is not good at all. They just never seem to be as good as new ones. I have refilled them many many times though. 20-50 refills easy. It does kind of suck though to try out 5 flavors with 5 brand new cartos and not like a single flavor.

I'm not throwing it out. At least not yet. I'll try mixing it as I get other flavors, maybe sell it or give it away, or keep it in case I totally run out of other flavors and forget to stock up soon enough :)

If you hi pressure water supply at home, i suggest you blast it in the carto to clean it, or most times, i apply a few drops from the bottom(battery end)

So far every time I've bought juices elsewhere that only come in 30ml or were only on sale in 30ml, I've been disappointed. V4L only sells in 30ml right? I only tried their carto samplers. If you have a popular PV you may be able to find an adapter to KR808D-1 and try their juices by buying their carto sample packs. Now I only buy juices at places that offer smaller sizes. I probably end up liking 1/4 to 1/3 of what I buy.

toddos - also try steeping it. When juice is freshly mixed it can sometimes be harsher. Remove the cap, press sideways on the dropper tip to pop it out (most come out that way) and set the juice somewhere safe and away from kids, pets, spills. Next day put the dropper tip back in and the cap on. And let it sit a couple of days. Then give it another try.

I found out early on that I didn't care much for tobacco flavors. I got a menthol carto from V4L as a freebie, and gave it a try - I found it very satisfying and refreshing, which really surprised me as I had always detested menthol cigarettes. I tried a number of different menthol flavors, and eventually settled on Halo Menthol Ice - it's been a daily staple for almost a year now. My tastes have changed over the months, but that has remained a favorite that I don't seem to get tired of. Good luck, hope you find your go-to flavor soon!

I considered that, as I did put it into a brand new carto. However I went ahead and boiled out the cartridge twice, refilled it, and it was still the awful, smokey-with-no-other-flavor flavor. It could also be my taste buds finally coming back, as I've started to taste a little less desirable smokiness from the 555 I've been vaping that wasn't there previously (no, not a burnt carto -- I top up frequently). Blessing in disguise, perhaps?
