Juice Flavors - Issues?

First off let me say that I love buying from Vapor 4 life. I get my carts there and adaptors. Have been trying some of their juices and have run into some issues. I really like the Smilin's Menthol.

However, I ordered a bunch of small bottles and so far have tested 3 that tasted nothing like their flavor... English Toffee, Coconut Creme Pie, Banana Creme Pie... all had a sweet perfumy taste. I'm using them up to get through them, was hoping the flavors would come out but so far no go. Ordered the Pink lemonade too and I taste the lemonade, so I know it's not all of them.

I have tried fresh carts, fresh attys, fresh batteries.... nothing. Just glad I ordered the smaller bottles. Would hate to have these in larger ones.

Anyone else have some of these issues with flavor tastes?

Actually, you won't have the same thing in the big bottles--the manufacturer that made the 5mls is being phased out as a V4L supplier I believe. At any rate, the 30 mls are different than the 5 ml flavs.

I get a really strong "greeny/perfumey" underflavor in the prefilled cartos that I have ordered. Of the 5ml juices that I have purchased, I only had one that undertone in it. It is really unpalatable to me, almost gaggy.

ETA: I do not understand why they would have different juices for 5ml and 30 ml bottles. There is nothing more frustrating than finding a flavor that you like and reordering it in a larger size only to find it is a different product altogether. (pet peeve, sorry)

I have encountered the exact opposite. The 5 mL bottle of Espresso that I had gotten a month or so ago was great. But the 30 mL bottle I just received is very flowery/perfumy.

I know they said they just had a chemist quit & they are still trying to get their flavors right.

I see that you ordered the pie flavors..I found they had a cream taste in them I can't hack. Toffee too. I think that is what you are tasting..cream.
But with 100 or so flavors..we can be picky!

The flavors in the premium will be V4L's standard liquid from now on. They will not be selling what is in the 5 ml bottles. Once the 5 ml are gone they will be replaced with 5ml and 30 ml premium. At least then they/we won'thave all the confusion!

Re any of the flavor issues that get mentioned, below is a product from a newly registered, mostly DIY-stuff supplier here that's supposed to reduce high notes, bite, acidic/sour notes, whatever; general mellowing of flavors. Typically used in foods I guess. Haven't looked into it much but there are some threads/posts on it around the forums. Here it's being targeted to one's DIY creations that they may not end up thrilled with, but should help mellow out any juice.

(There's also a similar-sounding product called 'MTS Vape Wizard' available from a Canadian supplier. That one mentions increasing vapor too, and that it has a dark color.)

Whenever I get around to DIY I may well end up interested in this myself lol, but if anyone tries it in a pre-made juice it would be interesting to hear about so please report back!

Got my kamel and marlboro in the 30ml 11mg bottles friday. The kamel barely tastes like the premium carto i ordered a week before. The marlbro tasted similar to the kamel except slightly more pungent? They both taste a bit strange.

When filling blank cartos for the first time and first time only it is best to let sit for a while after filling. I usually let them sit over night. By morning the carto tastes just like its prefilled carto opposite.

Yes, I noticed that my 30ml bottle of 0-nicotine Smilin' Special Menthol, doesn't taste or smell the same as the 30ml 36mg/nicotine Smilin' Special Menthol I just ordered two bottles of. However, I attributed it to the nicotine in it. But at the same time, I originally started liking it because of a sample cartomizer they sent with my first order or the Smilin Special Menthol, 36mg, and not sure if it was a regular or Premium carto. After that, I ordered some cartos in the VG version, 24mg because that's the highest that was available at the time. I didn't like the VG version as much. So I ordered the 0-nic flavor in PG, the 30ml, and mixed it with my own nic liquid, and a little vg. It was great. Used almost all of it till my new 30ml bottles arrived in 36mg strength, regular pg version. It just doesn't smell or taste as strong as the 0nic flavor, but I'm assuming it is the premixed nicotine. I tried mixing in a bit of the 0nic to the 36nic juice, since I want it a little lower anyway, been vaping too much I think. It still doesn't seem as strong to me. Maybe I"m just getting used to it? Don't know. Also tried the Kamel Menthol, 0nic liquid and it was good, but mixed with my nic juice, it wasn't as great, but still ok. I hope it corrects itself somehow, since I really love the Smilin menthol, it reminds me exactly of Marlboro Smooth menthol cigarettes, my favorite analog flavor. I'm told a drop of chocolate flavor will do that to other menthol flavors as well, but not sure.

Sorry Milo - can't help you out since I love my Coconut Cream Pie and to me it's spot on and I've hated every creamy flavor I tried to buy elsewhere.

As for the Smilin' Ragamuffin: I would probably chalk that up to nic levels. I LOVE Smilin' I usually buy it in 36mg in both the cartos and juice but on one of my last orders I ordered some cartos in 24mg and I didn't like them as the coffee flavor came through too much at 24mg.

Anyone that saw my thread on the issues knows how upset I was about the regular Vs Premium Espresso issue ...but what makes it worse for me is that I ordered 6 boxes of regular espresso (after figuring out the sample I fell in love with were regulars) well I just got the order today ...and want to guess what i got (instead of regular espresso) ...yup ..6 boxes of premium carts ...normally I would be ecstatic that they upgraded me to premium carts (at the regular price) but since I loath the premium espresso ... I AM SOOOOOO BUMMED

Man I hope they didnt send me premiums because they are out of regulars ...I bought all I could afford cause i figured they are going to be gone soon ...So I am off to bug Val ...to beg and plead with her to check the inventory and hopefully find me some REGULAR ESPRESSO ...I gotta have it ...Ill take out a loan to buy all she can find if I have too .....PLEASE LET THEM HAVE SOME ....

they had sent me a sample carto of blueberry which was soooo amazing and I bought the blueberry and out of the whole box (I tried every one of them) call me crazy but every one of them tasted like latex or somethig very very odd Yuk to put it nicely......sure longed for that same taste it had in the sample carto......but its all gone and it wasnt just me my friends also tried them and they said the same thing not blueberry at all just horrible taste......I guess this might happen once in a while....but I sure would love to have that same batch again as the sample that was sent.....afraid to try another .....have always had great taste with their peach and red cow

Scoobydoonut...by chance did you get a sample of blueberry cobbler and fell in love with that? I prefer the cobbler over the regular blueberry...just a thought

Not sure exactly what you mean here ...But understand they are in transition with the flavors and certainly don't want to bash them for what, to MY taste, was a misinterpretation of a flavor...I know they are doing everything they can to [re]create the many, many amazing flavors they offer ...they are doing a bang-up job overall (IMO)... I just fell in love with a flavor to have it change on me ... It was just my person struggle

And just to give credit where credit is due ...Val..in her usual amazing manner ...is taking care of my little problem ...my REGULAR espresso is on the way ......ahhhhhhhhhh ...Thank you Val ...you truly ROCK
