Juice + kids (infant in this case)

how concerned should I be about "juicing an infant"

  • not at all, that stuff wouldn't hurt a fly

  • I'd wash my hands often just to be careful

  • your baby could get real sick if he came into contact with juice

  • your child could DIE from absorption / transfer

I am new to vaping... loving it now that I figured out how to make my PV really work. love not having that smoke crap all over me to contaminate my family anymore. here is my problemo. on Tuesday the 8th god willing, my wife and I will be blessed with a baby boy :D Now I just juiced my cart and notices I got some on my fingers, how worried do I need to be about holding my baby if I have any juice on my hands?

TIA

When I watch my grandbabies, I do not touch nic juice at all!
I have Cartos filled before they get there and wash my hands after.
And the OCD person that I am I wash my hands all the time anyway.

But bottom line...I never handle juice and kids together, heck I even double wash my hands after I handle juice before I pick up my dog. :)

The options in the poll seem kinda weird to me - one is an action and the rest are opinions.
I went for the action - I think really you should have options like
1. Id do what I usually do, no special actions.
2. I'd wash hands frequently to feel safer
3. I wash hands AND wipe down everything else near the baby (even if the ejuice or PV was nowhere nearby)
4. I would abstain totally from using ejuice/PV/anything around a baby
5. None of the above

When I was using carts I washed my hands A LOT. I also used sanitizer A LOT. I have a two year old running around, I'm not about to play with him if I have nic juice on my hands. I have a bottle feeder now, so my hands never come in contact with liquid anymore. If they ever do, I'll be sure to wash my hands. I don't *think* anything could happen from some stray juice on my hands, I just think it is better to be safe than sorry.

I also think the bigger concern with infants and toddlers is that they get into everything. Sometimes I think mine is on a mission to get into my tacklebox of juice. It is out of reach, but the little one spends a whole lot of time eyeballing it trying to figure out how he may be able to get to it. I have a lock on the tacklebox and everything... I just don't even want him getting near the box because then he would think it's okay to touch, which it certainly is NOT.

Beautiful boy ... Congrats!!

And since I voted yesterday but didn't post, I'll comment on your question too. Just my own :2c:.

I would make sure and wash my hands thoroughly if not twice thoroughly after handling juice and before handling Bryce just to be sure. The amount of nicotine required to make someone ill is based upon body size ... and with a body that small, very little niquid could cause very big problems. Better safe than sorry!!

And for the record I chose the last option, mainly because it's the safest ... I know I wouldn't take that chance with my own little one, even though she's not that little any more.

Congrats!!!! What a sweetheart!

Just like non-smoking/vaping parents your gonna want to wash your hands regardless before handling your baby. Just like your probably being told to do in the hospital right now by the nurses. Even if it was cigarettes you were smoking I'd still wash them hands

And get hand cream! Your hands will get dried out.

and again.....Congratulations!!!!

(I'm getting all emotional because my "baby" just turned 5 today)

vape-n-burp == PV in one hand and baby over shoulder after good feeding in other hand :D.

if I my wife caught me doing that, you would probably be reading my obituary

we have a 5-year old too, I got in a lot of trouble for calling him "my baby" this morning, he announced "I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy" the is so precious with his little brother, he can just sit there and hold him for an hour (which is an eternety for a 5 year old)... giving his brother sweet little kisses

we are so very blessed
