I've recently mixed some simple one-flavor juices that were delicious right at first, but within a day or so the flavor had become very weak. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a fix? They're Capella flavors mixed at about 20%, 50-50 PG/VG base, sweetened with EZSweetz. I thought I read somewhere on this forum that adding a couple drops of lemon juice would make juices more stable, but now I can't find that thread again. Any suggestions?

Well, I haven't begun to DIY as my package hasn't arrived yet, but, I think I might have a diagnostic suggestion?

Does flavoring rise within the bottle, or, could it be that the mixture wasn't completely mixed, and you vaped a majority of the flavor right away and left a diluted leftover? (Cure: Shake bottle vigorously before each use.)

You need to add an acid to your mix. You can use vinegar, concentrated lemon juice or malic acid. Use 2 to 3 drops of acid per 5ml of juice. The acid stabilizes the mix and will greatly increase the shelf life. It stops what I call the "flavor fade".

I use apple cider vinegar for tobacco flavored juice and the concentrated lemon juice for fruit flavors.

Good luck!

As mentioned either

- try adding acid (lemon/lime drops | vinegar | malic acid), depending on your size a drop or 2
- try working up flavor, you might have used too much flavoring (you can read Hoosier blog on ECF)
- You might have vaped up the flavor
- not enough shaking/steeping
- you might have had the percentages wrong perhaps

But I strongly suggest working up the flavor, instead of going with 20% from the start. Try with 10, you can always add flavor, but you can't remove it afterwards
