Honestly I'm kinda wondering if my wicking technique isn't quite there yet. However, this new coil build has really brought out the flavor and it seems to be doing just fine. I think I need to get down how much cotton to put in, because I believe I have a tendency to squeeze too much in there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't want any space inside the ID correct? Cotton should pretty much fill in the space, but you don't want so much that it's compressed?
One thing I did do, was have a much bigger ID with this 4 wire twist.
I have to say, when I first began building the hardest part for me to get right was the wicking. I think it comes more naturally to some and to others, presumably like us, it takes awhile to get the hang of it. I mean, it simple as all get out, but there is a finesse to the amount needed that really can't be conveyed in reviews or tips. It is a
feel kinda thing. Just try and remember, once you get it right how it feels going through. You'll be set after you get that
feel right.
One way I use, that I had to figure for myself, was to check the wicking's saturation before you vape. Don't just pour liquid all over the wick. Juice it up from the well (the bottom) and watch to see how quickly the juice flows up and into the coil's area (of the wick). It won't be super quick at first, but you should see it rise and fully saturate within a few minutes. Then, do a couple test-fires to see how the wicking holds up. If it doesn't look like the wick is keeping up, you don't need to vape it to see. Re-wick it, but sightly differently, then repeat the process of checking it out.
Know, also, that once you manage to get the wicking right, it's funny how you'll almost find it impossible to get it wrong.
