Did you guys are having problems with leaks when the tubing goes through the cartridge ? Maybe the hole is a lil too big but it was a tight fit and still leaks a little if im not carefull.

I don't want to glue the tube to the cart..

here is an old prototype to test the cartridge/tubing (powerpack, passthrought, squeeze bottle and duct tape baby!) and a new one im working on.. sugestion for tube leaks ?

It would be interesting to see this mod using a micro diaphragm pump. One like this or smaller. I know the human embedable pumps are very expensive, but they are smaller then a dime. Not sure if the fluid rate on these would be enough.

That does look like a nice pump and the flow rate does not have to be very much. I wonder what the cost on that would be. I have checked on numerous pumps, manual and electric, and have not found one that is cheap enough for modding. But I guess if it's not too expensive it would be worth the investment.

I was looking at a small kids squirt gun the other day. The trigger assembly would IMO make an awesome pump.

These things work great for a while but start to leak very quickly. If you could find an adheasive to bond that seam, before installing, it would be a great little pump and it puts out more than enough flow.

Back to the original question...
I haven't drilled a cart yet, so I don't' know if there is room enough or not - but your leakage problem is from not having a tight fit....

I'm thinking you'd need something like a brass insert - something like this that I pulled off of a 'saddle-valve' parts list... But then you might need compression fittings and such also.. Might have to rebuild the whole cart out of brass maybe? .. Dunno - just a thought!

Have ya'll ever tried "Mighty Glue"? It sure works great on the things I've used it on. I would think sealing a seam with it, using a toothpick to get the coverage complete, would do the trick well.

Just a thought....

From this site it looks like 19,90 EUR each in a pack of 10.

You may be on to something here. Although it doesn't seem to say anything about flow rate. I wonder if it is capable of drips? It certainly is small enough though.

The page for specific models has links to a data sheet. I'll see if I can find the 'nano' pumps again. They are very small. These could possibly be incorporated into a cart.

General info for the mp6

Water:
- max. flow: 5 ml/min (100 Hz)
- linear range: 0 - 3 ml/min @ 0 - 30 Hz
- max. back pressure: 500 mbar (100 Hz)
