Honestly, I don't have the slightest clue how anyone can sit through a YouTube review of anything.
I can only handle about 60 seconds of a video review before wanting to shoot myself.

Give me a review in writing every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
:)

I wish I could like this comment nine more times.

Those guys drive me up a freaking wall with the fumbling and the hemming and the hawing and the holding various parts up to the camera for five years while they ramble about nothing until they finally sit back and just vape in silence, doing obscene things to their drip tips and blowing giant clouds into the cam soooo creepily that it makes me just cringe and hope to god I don't look that pervy when I vape (I know I don't, I checked in the mirror, and I periodically recheck to be sure). There's only so much of that anyone should be expected to watch, and yet they go on for-ev-er. It's like they don't realize you can edit these things before you post them, or even maybe try-try again if it sucks horribly the first time you do it. Gahhh....

Anyway. Sorry. Yes! Written reviews rule!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... I'm guilty of checking it out in the mirror to make sure I don't look like that too. That's hysterical! I was afraid to vape in public until I asked a friend if I look like an idiot first. I do have to admit puffing out the nose sometimes... but at least now that I'm aware of it, I only do that at home.

I'm SO glad someone said something like this. When I first started this project, I began by checking out some video reviews. I honestly couldn't sit through any of them. It was the perfect lesson in what not to do. I have spoken to a video professional about putting together a few videos to see what people think, but it's very tentative right now and my main focus will remain written reviews, regardless.

I sorta feel the same way about a lot of youtube vids. and not even the e-cig ones. There are some pretty creepy vids buried deep in youtube, a lot of them I think should have started with the phrase "Watch this Y'all" but anyway back on topic. I think this is an awesome idea and I've bookmarked your website will be exploring it in far more detail and following it. From the brief glance I did take, it looks quite well done.

Great site, and I can't wait to see more! I was wondering what nic level you typically vape at. I think that might be good info to include with your pg/vg ratio.

I was glad to see you had a lot of vapedudes juice listed, but as I went through them, NONE of them were the 7 or 8 I just ordered that will hopefully be here today. But since you're a watermelon fan. I did get watermelon drip from them. When I try it, I'll let you know what I think hehehe. It's supposed to taste like a big piece of juicy watermelon, so we'll see.

Hey Deb,

Most of the juice reviewed is in the 16-18 mg/ml range. This is of course, another tidbit of information I considered adding to each review, but eventually decided against in the interest of keeping the reviews as clean and uncluttered as possible. I know there is a thirst for information and everyone wants a little something different, but I just couldn't include everything w/o the site looking a bit intimidating and somewhat disorganized. I made a quick note to myself to include that info on my home page however, because you're right, it does have an effect on the overall review.

Definitely keep me posted on the VD watermelon. I was very close to ordering it from them in my first round of orders, but I already had a few watermelons and I am doing my best to keep flavor selection as broad (and impersonal) as possible. You (and anyone else!!) can send me recommendations on juice to review using the info@ or josh@ email address for the domain or just clicking the "All other inquiries" link.

Thanks for the feedback!

Well, I've read it all, and I can honestly say I'm impressed. These are truly well-described reviews that give you a real feel for what vaping the juice will actually be like. Taste is subjective, of course, but it's very helpful to read how the actual flavors come together in the juice, and I can tell you're seriously giving a lot of thought to what you're sampling.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of the few tobacco flavors I've tried, so I've been reluctant to try others, but after reading your reviews, there are several that intrigue me enough to sample, and several that I will know to steer clear of because of specific flavor profiles you pointed out. That's a valuable service you can't get from just looking at how many stars something gets from someone else, so thankyou very much for being so detailed!

Since you enjoyed Rawr's Truth Serum and Hawaii Sunrise, I'd like to recommend my very fav Rawr juice so far, Dawn of Truth, which is described on their site as "Truth Serum and Hawaii Sunrise had a baby". It is a sublime experience.

Also curious as to whether or not you had tried anything from Ms T's Bakery- she has a lot of fun dessert flavors, and some novelties in her testing area that are surprisingly tasty. I really like the dill pickle. It's so weirdly wonderful and completely different from anything else I've ever tried. (Her site is down for the rest of the week, but should be back by the weekend, knock wood.)

Anyway, kudos on a great beginning, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'll definitely be back to read more.

Thank you so much Ohai! I appreciate you reading thru it all and providing me with your feedback and suggestions. That is very helpful to me. Coming from the kitchen, I know how subjective taste can be. That's precisely the reason I am reviewing from a perspective of the overall quality and flavor composition rather than an "Oh, I kinda like this one" POV.

I'm glad you mentioned Rawr's Dawn of Truth! Along with a few others from Rawr, it's in the "waiting to reviewed" box, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't already sampled it on a few occassions. As with everything else of their's that I've tried so far, the flavor profile and depth of flavor are superb. I hope to get to that one posted soon.

I tried Ms. T's right when I first starting vaping almost 2 1/2 years ago. At the time I wasn't that impressed, but to be honest with you, I really had no idea what I was doing with my PV. Now that I have the site up and a couple years experience under my belt, I have every intention of giving them the full treatment, I know they have an excellent reputation for making high quality juice and can be exceedingly creative with their flavors.

Please feel free to send me any other feedback or juice recommendations, either thru ECF or using the "All other inquiries" link on the sidebar, I really appreciate it.

Any plans to mix your own juices? I'd be very interested to see what a chef would whip up. Also... what's YOUR all day vape or are you still searching?

I just picked up some nic, base, and flavors to try my hand at some DIY, but with so many juices left to review, I'm not sure when I'll find the time. I never really thought of myself as the kind of person who wishes for more hours in a day, but here I am.

I switch out my flavors all day long depending on my mood, but I do favor a really good fruit/ice blend. At this point, I really haven't found one that I'd call perfect yet. My first DIY will be a "frozen watermelon" as I think that has tons of potential that no one has managed to take full advantage of.

yea your site is very nice

I use an LT and start with a 3 hole dripping atty rated at 2.0-2.5 ohms. Each juice is then reviewed from 3.7v to 5v up until the best flavor, TH, and vapor production are achieved. Any juice that still comes out suspect is then reviewed with a standard 3ohm atty and also vaped along the entire 3.7-5v spectrum until I get a good result. If at that point, I still don't think I have achieved the best possible vape from any particular juice, I'll try a 1.5 ohm atty to see if I can squeeze a out a little more flavor. All the ratings are based on the best results I was able to achieve.

For the record, all juice reviewed at this point and all juices currently waiting to be reviewed were bought and paid for by me with the exception of the odd free sample that vendors occasionally toss in with any order.

I appreciate any feedback and am happy to field any questions you may have.

I am so happy everyone like the site and I hope you are all finding it to be a useful resource as well. Just an FYI, two new reviews were posted lasted night as well.

Your site is great! I like reading the reviews too. I wonder if it is too much information to include if the juice is organic.
Thanks.

Not a problem at all, I appreciate the feedback! Right now there are 3 organic juices reviewed and each one is indicated in the title of the juice. All three are from Virgin Vapor and as such are labeled Virgin Vapor Organic (flavor). If a vendor makes organic juice but doesn't necessarily use "organic" in the naming of each flavor, I will be certain to include that info. I know some folks find that to be very important. I will also make sure that information is searchable through the database when it is finally completed. The reason there are so few organic juices at this time is simply financial. I needed to purchase as much juice as possible from as many vendors as I could in order to have as much content as possible at launch. More organics will be added in the future.
