The site is great. Well done!

Thanks! Glad you found it...the site is in the process of some re-tooling with 'sort by rating' and a couple other new features on the way. I'm hoping to launch the new changes this Saturday with some new reviews to boot.

I try to add 4-5 new reviews every week, but last week nothing new was posted due to the work on the back end.

Very nice website. I found some juices I definitely need to try. My favs Boba's and Pluid on there. I didn't see anything on Purevapes.com though which is one of my personal faves. Should check them out when you get a chance.

I don't have anything here from Purevapes, but I'll be sure to check them out and drop them a line when I have some room in the "waiting to be reviewed" box. Thanks for the kind words and the recommendation, both are greatly appreciated.

Thankyou! Glad to see this as it is hard to decide who/what to buy when you're just getting into this.

THIS is precisely the reason this site was created....when I first began vaping, the number of bottles that went from mailbox, to steeping drawer, to trash over the course of 6 weeks or so was positively astounding. I simply didn't know anyone else who vaped at the time (there weren't many of us back then). It used to drive me crazy to think about the money I was basically just depositing into the trash bin. While the idea for the site was born very shortly after I began vaping, it took almost 2.5 years before I actually decided to make it a reality.

I'm glad you found it and I hope it continues to steer you towards some new vendors, and new flavors, that will help you stay far far away from the analogs.

vapor taste actually is subjective to its user.. some one will like this flavor and some will not .. so its the best to test it out 1st from samples before buyying it ..

From the website's "about us" page:

"Much like food, art and wine, e-juice is a fairly subjective matter. What I enjoy may not be very appealing to you. In that regard, the main focus of this website, and the reviews you'll find here, is to speak to the overall quality, balance, and flavor composition of the product."

These are not "OMG I loved it", they describe the flavors that comprise the overall profile so vapers can get an idea if they might like something before even buying the samples.

great work and great site. If only I've vaped regular juices:) I wish there was something exactly the same for DYI aromas:) but it would be extremely difficult. I totally agree that though taste is strongly subjective, you can describe it in some objective factors.

You're not the first person to mention this Belladonna1. It's something I'm considering doing as I delve deeper into DIY, but it's not going to be anytime soon. I understand it would be just as valuable (if not more so when creating complex blends) to have a decent handle on the qualities of each particular flavor concentrate...but that's an awfully large project with an even greater investment of time (and $$) since I'd need to create base for every concentrate I reviewed. But still, I haven't been willing let go of the idea either :D

Oh...and one more thing, the newly rebuilt website is now live. The latest and greatest build includes an interactive, fully sortable table of all of the reviews. If you go to the "reviews" button on the nav bar and click "all reviews" you can check it out. The search feature has also been completely redesigned to provide better, more accurate results.

As usual, any feedback you'd like to provide on the website in general or the new features would be greatly appreciated!

Im sorry but if I hear that taste is subjective one more time Im going to scream. Its like saying the sky is blue. What this site does is explain the flavours in a juice described by somebody with a trained palate. I have wasted literally hundreds of dollars on juice and postage to New Zealand buying juice from vendors who have no description of the juice they are selling. Mostly the juice is sold by a vague name and from peoples reviews of said product . I have bought alot of cherry flavour juice where apparently people think it tastes exactly like a fresh cherry, ahum I dont think so! cherry ALWAYS tastes like perfume when translated into a juice I now have given up buying said flavour i dont believe it can be replicated successfully at this point in time. I understand a vendor not wanting to give out a complete list of ingredients as others will copy but to pluck a name out of the air with floaty description of a hint of this or that means I buy a juice with my hard earned money which goes straight into the bin as its nothing like I presumed it to be. At least when I smoked I knew what I was going to buy, vapeing is very hit and miss. Hence, I love the chefs website and I just hope to read a review one day that says, hey this cherrybomb tastes exactly like cherries! :)

Wow! I'm a new member and just stumbled on this thread. Your site looks great.

Of course the first thing I did was check the A-Z list to see if the one vendor I have bought from is there (Alice in Vapeland) which they were not.

Thought #2 was I need to tell the Chef about my favorite vendor.

I was about to post when I saw your recent post about how many bottles you have that are waiting review. I'm sure many many folks post the same suggestions for bottles you already have and just haven't had the time to review yet.

With this in mind, I would like to suggest a new feature that might cut down repetitive question as well as generate excite for future posts: A pending review list.

Just list the vendor and juice name when a bottle arrives in the mail. No promise of when or what order the reviews will come. No further details. Keep it simple as you are already busy enough with writing reviews.

Yes garymon, this is a great list, but the 3 companies I vape are not listed........FlavourArt, Flavor Apprentice, and LorAnn. Unless I didn't look properly (very possible), these vendors are fairly well known and it's a bummer that at least one of them hasn't been reviewed. Looks like I have a lot of new companies' juice I have to buy, oh darn.......

I'm going to start here and work through these new questions/comments as quickly as I can, but I'm also troubleshooting a few bugs in the new code, so while it may take me a little bit, I'm happy to address all comments.

Flowerchild, you are my hero of the month. I can't have another discussion about how an apple will always taste like an apple...what's subjective is whether or not you like apple. So, thank you for chiming in there, I certainly couldn't have said it better.

And with cherry...you hit the nose right on the head. For almost 4 years I have searched for a really good, true to like cherry flavored juice but have not yet had one. I hear Ahlusion makes a great cherry but I haven't had it yet (soon, I promise). I have found that, generally speaking, black cherry and maraschino cherry flavors usually don't taste like cough syrup, and tend to be sweet with out any bitter, acrid, medicinal overtones, but there are always those that still aren't right.

For a long time there were nothing but miserable tasting strawberry flavors, that one was conquered and now we have all kinds of great strawberry liquids, cherry can't be far behind.

Yup! Already talking to AiV and it looks like they have already, or will shortly be shipping some samples out for review. Heard a lot of great things about them so I'm eagerly awaiting their package.

As far as the "waiting for review" list, it's a great idea and already in process. It will almost certainly be a part of phase 2 of the upgrade. Phase 1 of the new VaporRater.com went live last night and included the handy-dandy sortable table, and a ton of work on the back-end (a complete and total re-coding of the entire website). As soon as I can get the last remaining bugs worked out, planning of stage 2 will fully commence.

Thanks again for taking a look and your feedback...Both of your recommendations were great, so good that they are both already in motion. Any other ideas or suggestions you've got, please don't hesitate to toss 'em on out!
