Juice sitting in a hot car?

I was hunting this weekend and my truck was sitting in the sun while we were out on the river all day (I live in Alaska so "hot" this time of year is 65 Fahrenheit). It wasn't sitting directly in the sun. It was in a duffel bag on the front seat.

I didn't think anything of it at the time, but when I got home the juice looked a little strange. I went to rebuild the coil and change cottons, and when I added the juice to the tank I finally noticed...it looks almost like the compounds are starting to separate. Kinda like how oil looks when you mix it with water, but it wasn't that extreme, just barely noticeable. I gave the bottle a good stir and decided to vape the juice anyway. It doesn't taste weird...seems to vape fine...is this something I should be wary of? Should I chuck this juice or do you think it's okay to keep vaping?

I think it's fine, I am in SE Texas where it's already topping out in the high 80's (even hotter in the car parked in the sun) and I leave my mod in the car frequently and haven't had any noticeable issues with vaping off it afterwards. I guess the real test will be later in the summer when it's 100+ outside. :p

Too much heat for too long can degrade the level of nicotine and arguably does something with the flavors (adds or detracts depending on what you read). But it won't spoil the juice or anything. PG and VG are drastically different as far as viscosity so they will naturally want to separate after a while. the heat might have just helped the VG settle a little faster.

I live in Vegas and I leave my juice in the car all the time. In the summer temps higher than 100 degrees can be a daily occurrence.. Temps in my car can get up to that of a slow cooking oven. Never had a problem with my juice going bad on me.

Excellent. Thanks!

I also experienced my first pressure issue driving through the mountains. Didn't even think about it until my tank was leaking all over my hand lol.

Just out of curiosity have either of you had leaking issues after a your mod sat in the hot vehicle for awhile?

Ideal Gas Law: PV=nRT

As temperature increases so does the pressure. Leaks caused by pressure changes by driving through the mountains can similarly be caused by changes in temperature.

I would have to see what level of separation we are talking about - if it mixed back easily - probably no problem...

It was very minor, only noticeable if you stuck your face right up next to the bottle. It just looked oily (I realize the entire solution is more or less oil) like there was a tiny bit of oily substance swirling around in the solution. It mostly went away when I barely gave it a stir. I was primarily curious if others had experienced this before.

It is always good to question things - that is what the members on ECF do - help each other through this journey...
