So I've recently began making my own liquids, though I still have others that I vape. Until I have a good amount of blends I like I'm sure I'm going to keep buying liquid. I've found some old threads where people say liquids can start to degrade and lose their flavor after about 5 weeks.

One of the liquids I bought was a 60-mL bottle and I've probably had it for close to 5 weeks now. A couple days ago I began to notice I just wasn't getting much flavor out of it. I cleaned wicks in my clearos, I tried it a few different ways and at best I found I had some flavor, but after an hour or so I could barely taste it. I basically figured since this has been my all day vape for about a week and I've been vaping it to some degree for a few weeks that I was getting too used to the flavor and just wasn't tasting it well. So I put it on the back shelf and figured I'd leave it for at least a week. After reading people saying that liquids can lose their flavor however, I'm wondering if this stuff is just past it's prime and on it's way down hill.

Now I'd assume if there was actual loss of flavor commonly in e-liquid it would most likely be due to air exposure and reaction with Oxygen and/or Carbon Dioxide.

So I'm wondering if anyone has experiences or methods of storing juice. Yesterday I made up a few DIY batches. One of them a 30-mL bottle of a flavor that I have on hand and am vaping. So I know I won't be opening this bottle for at least a week. Eventually I'd prefer to be making up at least 100-mL bottles of the blends I like, possibly larger. I also see myself buying larger bottles of some of the stuff I've tasted and liked in the past.

I'm thinking the best method would be to store a bottle in the freezer filled with as little air as possible. Then when I want to vape it, take a portion (15-30-mL) out, and rebottle the remainder into smaller bottles with as little air as possible, then place them back in the freezer, keeping my small bottle for vaping.

I'm pretty much someone who likes to at least have a bit of variety throughout my day. So I always see myself having a few flavors to vape, but I'm thinking if this stuff may degrade before I vape it, I don't want to have 5 or 6 30-ml bottles that I'm vaping from, because chances are they'll begin to degrade before I finish them.

Any thoughts or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

My experience has been more that the juices start to IMPROVE in flaver after a couple weeks, and tend to stay flavorful for quite a while. A common use by date for vendors is one year after the bottle by date. I've never had a bottle last longer then a few months, and none of them lost flavor. I just store my juice in a cool (room temp, about 68 degrees in my place) dark area. They have a good shelf life. Yeah, you're right about that juice you were using daily. If you don't switch up flavors you will adjust to a flavor enough for it to start appearing tasteless. Some people store juice in the fridge, I haven't found that neccessary.
