Juice composition (thickness, and ingredients) can make a huge difference in how long the wick and coil will last. Sucralose as a sweetener will gunk up coils, and wear out a wick faster than other sweeteners. Then of course, the device, and construction of coil make a difference as well. Try with other juices, so you can eliminate that as an issue. Then continue to try different things with the coil, then wick keeping the other things as constant as possible till you figure it out

yes slightly longer just on the top lead though. I like to make the coil, then pre bend the top lead down alongside the coil without it touching the coil. I use tweezers to make that bend nice and sharp. once the coil is in place start your cotton between the coil and lead running along side the coil to prevent it from ever shorting. basically with the stove pipe type you will be able to look down through the coil rite at the air vent hole between the pos and neg lead screws.
