Hey guys and gals! I have a bit of an issue. I am vaping an RY4 juice from Aquavapor. I have been noticing the last few days that my juice turns brown when in my clearomizer, but it stays a light color in the juice bottle. Why is this? And is there anything I can do to prevent it. I need to get at least 2 more weeks out of the clearomizer before I can make another order, it is my last one and I am trying to get it to last a bit longer.

Thanks!

It's standard in every clearo I have ever used. I imagine it is due to build up of byproducts created in the heating process.

It would help if you told us what clearomizer you are using. It sounds like you're using a disposable, but it may be able to be cleaned with some water and vodka. How does the juice taste? The disposables aren't supposed to last forever (hence the "disposable" bit...)

I'm using an off brand CE4 clearomizer. Sorry for the lack of information there. I have noticed an odd flavor when taking a hit, but it tastes fine on exhale. I'm trying to post a photo but my bluetooth on my phone is being a bit slow.

The juice turns like automatically brown by the first hit I take, I just refilled and it is already brown 5 minutes later. I have taken it apart to clean it about 3 days ago.

Depending on how much you vape, I'm not surprised the juice is turning darker if you are going 3 days between a clean. Maybe it's just me, but I tend to at least give a hot water rinse every 2-4 clearos full 'o juice.
When you burn anything you will almost always get some sort of residuals, and they are what is turning your juice brown.

If you need to baby that clearo, just do a warm water rinse, no dry burn and it should help a little.

Yes this is common with clearo's, when I top up a clearo, I use a syringe and suck the juice out of the clearo and mix it back into the bottle, find if just leave it in there, it only gets worse and clogs your clearos faster, hence why I normally suck out and refill once half empty, unless at work or out, don't have the problem with clear liquids, but anything that has any color this does happen too.

It is , in actual fact, what happens when vapour feeds back into the remaining juice in the clearo. Just change or clean the coil before a refill

The clearomizers that came with my eGo battery were off-brand as well and looked very much like what you have. If they're the same and it's your only tank, just be advised that you might need to take a hair dryer or something to it if you want to be able to use it in the morning. The suggestion to use vodka is good too, since it evaporates much faster.

The gunk on your coil bleeds down the wicks and turns the liquid brown. Once it gets really bad you will notice it turning faster and faster.
On that CE4, you can't get to the head easily to burn it off. Best suggestion is HOT water soak or vodka soak.
When you can, upgrade to something that has changeable heads. Not only can you change the head, but you can access it easier to do burn offs every so often.

Consider purchasing ce5 type clearomizers. They are only $1 more from most places and can be stripped down, cleaned and back in action in 5 minutes.
With care, ce5's will last for months and you can but replacement heads to keep them going forever, or until broken.:)

I have all manner of delivery system, yet I always have a ce5 or 2 filled with something.:D

Flavors darken from Coil heat AND LIGHT. light caused an oxidation effect on Nicotine which becomes dark, but otherwise unaffected.

Taste being off is due to progressive build up on the wick/coil. The reason cleaning is important.

I usually boil mine in distilled water. They work like new. Even my clear juice will start to darken after a couple days without cleaning the head.
So far it has worked for me on both replaceable and disposables.
I just can't see disposing of them until cleaning no longer brings back the performance.

Yes, it's normal. Heating our coils vaporizes the juice and burns the juice. Depending on the amount of heat, the size of the tank, the type and color of the juice, among many other variables will affect how dark a juice will become. If the juice gets burned enough, the taste will change, sometimes substantially. Lowering voltage or power will reduce heat and reduce the burning/cooking/darkening affect. Increasing heat will do the opposite. It's normal and just part of basic chemistry. Not to worry! Vape On!

Thank you everyone for all the great suggestions!! I do have vodka I can clean it with but the vodka has been in the freezer...would that make much of a difference? Also would I need to rinse it well since vodka is flammable? I do have an order I am waiting on from Fasttech that has a bunch of Evod's, extra heads, more CE4 clearo's and a couple of their off brand pro tanks to try, but it will take a while to get here obviously. I'm just starting out(1 week in) so I am still in the process of getting all the supplies I need plus backups and backups for my backups lol. I don't have any distilled water to boil in so that won't work either. I just need 2 weeks lol I really hope that isn't too much to ask for out of this one clearo. It is only a week old, and I have cleaned it once, since I have read that cleaning once a week was sufficient with high PG and clear juice. I will get to vaping as much as I can so I can clean this out tonight. Do I just soak the clearo in the vodka for a bit and then rinse well? I can dry it with the hair dryer, and I usually don't dry burn since I believe it is a silica wick.

Just an update, hubby just placed an order for a name brand clearo from MBV just in case this one dies before my fasttech order comes through. Phew...he is such a lifesaver and it makes vaping so much easier when your other half is so supportive. He is getting the Vamo from fasttech to try and see if it helps him quit analog's as well as vaping has helped me.In the mean time I am chain vaping to finish off this clearo so I can clean it. I have new juices coming in on monday that I want to try before this one dies on me lol
