My regular B&M store recently ran out of menthol liquid, so I went to another B&M (a bit further away) to purchase some menthol juice.
Their menthol juice was kinda brownish and opaque, the stuff I get from my regular B&M is crystal clear.
I tried both of those (same nic, same PG/VG), but the taste on the clear liquid is much better, crisper and more mentholly (prolly not a real word) than the other one.
The brownish one is more subdued and has a weird side/after taste.
Most liquids I purchase at regular B&M are very clear or very light in color.

Lots of juices are brown - it all depends on ingredients. Coffee and tobacco flavored juices are notoriously darker in color. It may be that the second menthol was a tobacco-flavored juice with menthol as a secondary flavor. However, juice can turn dark when it goes bad. It's best to buy juice that is dated for freshness.

As far as vaping the darker, thicker juices, I find they gum up an atty faster. Not a problem if you are using a rebuildable and cotton, but a definite pain in a carto or Protank.

It all depends on the flavorings used and the company that makes them. You can get choc in clear or some can be brownish colored. I have no pref as to color. I am into taste. Some juices will really gunk up atomizer coils especially coffee and choc and the sweetener used, but as long as you dryburn your coils there shouldn't be a problem. Not all vendors use the same flavoring companies.

well....from my regular vendor, I am used to clear "see thru" liquids, non of their juices are 'murky' or 'opaque' (not see thru)....regular B&M liquids has lightly varying coloring (this is what they look like) other guys liquid looks kinda like (this in coloring).

I was just wondering why menthol liquid would be so different and taste is quite different too.
Also what your favorite looks like and whether your preference is influenced by what liquids look like.

Some companies actually do their own extractions from the actual coffee beans or fruit/tobacco. The resulting flavorings will pick up some of the color. Most of my tobacco flavorings will darken slightly after sitting awhile but they actually taste better. If you look through the tpa site she has flavorings like choc clear and choc dark. Each has a diff profile chemically. It depends on the users preference as to which they like better.

Darker very sweet liquids seem to clog up coils faster for me.

As for other colors I just don't see the need to add artificial colors to juice.

A FEW flavorings I use have a color to them but the vast majority are clear out of the bottle. The juice will gradually turn amber over time. None of mine sit around long enough for that to matter much though.
