Hi Guys,
I'm vaping for a year and 2 months and i'm now turning to TC mods. I got a Snow Wolf beast and i still have a lot of doubts about this new technology. Manufactures do not give any info about it. In mycase i can adjust temp. and Power with Nickel coils. What is the relation between these two factors? I give a limit of temperature but then i can still adjust watts, so, what should i do? What is regulating the mod?
Someone who knows about this new tech, please let me know..
Compliments,
Vape on!

I'm guessing you mean the SnowWolf box mod? That will automatically detect a nickel coil and go into temp mode, no need to touch the wattage, TC isn't a massive deal to me really, it stops dry hits...in theory but I still like vaping my 0.25ohm kanthal coil at 60w.

Thanks. Yes, Snow Wolf sure! Me too, i like my Drippers at high temp. but i'm just trying to figure out how this works. Yes, it detects auto but if i change the watts (and this is possible) it changes the feelling of the vape)...

Yes when it asks you if its a new atomizer and you click yes, never touch the watts, just use the temp settings.. I'm pretty new to nickel coils too, maybe I'm just set in my ways.

Temperature control mods automatically adjust the wattage to maintain a set temperature. You still need to adjust the wattage (or Joules) to keep from overheating the coils faster than the mod samples resistance changes in the coil or the mod will cut the power to the atomizer though.

Basically set the temperature that you want to vape at. Then adjust the wattage progressively higher until the mod starts cutting the power to the atomizer. Once you hit that point lower your wattage again until it stops cutting the power. That is the point where your mod can heat the coil to your desired temp and maintain that temperature. Then, if you are using the mod and it suddenly starts cutting the power you know that there is a problem with the wick. Either the wick is drying out or it's too gunked up to get fresh liquid to the coil fast enough to keep it cool.

Not sure how relevant my experience is to the question, I am still a noob. I recently bought a Joyetech eVic VT. The vendor who sold it to me set it up, but it did not taste very good when I puffed. From what I understand each PG/VG ratio burns differently. The juice I use is 60/40 PG/VG. After getting it home I began to fiddle with the settings, finally settling on 190 deg C, 32.1 W, 0.19 Ohms. It was originally set in the store at 210 C, but that high of a temp. left a slight burnt taste. After turning it down to 185-190 C, the flavor of the juice really peaked beautifully. I also noticed, at the lower temperature my rig does not crackle and pop when I use it, if it has been sitting for a long time.
