just stepped up to sub ohm with a kanger sub tank mini kit. Love this thing, now to figure out the leaking situation.

I think I've narrowed it down to the coil gasket. I switched it out for another from my protank 2 coils and all is well for the time being. I've managed to find the "search" feature!
What is a coil gasket? Is it the plate that you screw the coil into? I only have the one subtank mini. So alas I don't have any replacements on hand.I think I've narrowed it down to the coil gasket. Welcome to the forums. I just recently picked up the vaping habit again to get off the analogs for good.
This time around, I got myself an eLeaf iStick 50w, with Tobeco SuperTank .5 ohm tank. Moments after the salesman filled the tank, it started leaking...bad... There was an o-ring on the atomizer that was not in the correct position. Once that was fixed, haven't had an issue since.
Totally love the sub ohm tank. Tons of flavor and vapor....just what I was after.

It only worked temproarily. I'm going to contact kanger for further suggestions.
There's a small clearish o-ring at the bottom of the coil that screws into the base. I've moved to another coil to see if that helps. It's hurting my patience to be honest, never had a kanger leak!
Found this, and did what was suggested, so far everything's doing good! Crosses fingers!!!!

That's what I was thinking to be honest, let's hope stuffing a little more cotton into the juice channels does the trick!
Welcome, hope that clears up your problem. I have an original subtank as well as the mini (couldn't find replacement glass back then). I would suggest you get the vertical coils when your two originals go bad. They have better air flow and experience less dry hits imo. If you buy online they're easy to find, just be careful with your resistance choice. The 1.5 ohm vertical, unlike it's original counterpart, is made for a mouth to lung inhales and consequently has a very restricted air flow. Happy vaping!
The coils that came with, and the others I've tried have been the new verticals. Just can't figure it out. The 1.5 is what I'm after right now.
Yes, it ran beautifully for about a week, then I get the sticky fingers from the juice coming out of the air flow holes.
couple of quick questions - have you left it somewhere it would get hot (like in car)?
have you checked to make sure coil is still seated firmly (but not screwed down too tight - if you crimp or pinch the o-ring under the coil, it can allow leaking)?
