I think I've narrowed it down to the coil gasket. I switched it out for another from my protank 2 coils and all is well for the time being. I've managed to find the "search" feature! ;)
What is a coil gasket? Is it the plate that you screw the coil into? I only have the one subtank mini. So alas I don't have any replacements on hand.

Welcome to the forums. I just recently picked up the vaping habit again to get off the analogs for good.
This time around, I got myself an eLeaf iStick 50w, with Tobeco SuperTank .5 ohm tank. Moments after the salesman filled the tank, it started leaking...bad... There was an o-ring on the atomizer that was not in the correct position. Once that was fixed, haven't had an issue since.
Totally love the sub ohm tank. Tons of flavor and vapor....just what I was after.

Welcome, hope that clears up your problem. I have an original subtank as well as the mini (couldn't find replacement glass back then). I would suggest you get the vertical coils when your two originals go bad. They have better air flow and experience less dry hits imo. If you buy online they're easy to find, just be careful with your resistance choice. The 1.5 ohm vertical, unlike it's original counterpart, is made for a mouth to lung inhales and consequently has a very restricted air flow. Happy vaping!
