I received my joye 510 and enough juice for a few weeks at 10am this morning. Thanks to the wealth of knowledge on this board I knew just what to do when opening the packages. In the matter of a minute I was taking my first drag and thought, this is freaking cool!

I think I hit the nail on the head with 24mg juice. Once again, I've read alot on here but it was a gamble because I just didn't know for sure. I take 3 puffs every time I want a cigarette (every half hour or so) and I'm good to go.

I tried an analog at 10am along side of the 510 (got a little light headed, go figure) just to see if there was a difference and there was, analogs are harsh! I have not had one since. Yeah, I know, it's only 5 hours but I've never gone 5 hours without an analog.

The marlboro flavored juice I received from freedomsmokeusa is quite tasty to me, I really do love the taste of tobacco I guess, it is lick your lips sweet. I am curious to see how long I can get out of one battery and one fill. All day would be awesome but I have my doubts.

Anyways, thanks for listening to my rants, I am just an excited newbie. But can you blame me, this could actually be the last day I smoke analog cigarettes. I've never felt this confident and more importantly I do not feel empty or abandoned. Have I finally found the end of the tunnel?

I don't think I will ever get tired of reading people's first impressions.....even better in person.

Congratulations on a great decision and best of luck in your journey.

And yeah for some lucky few of us, the first day vaping is the last day smoking, however, do not be the least bit bothered if it doesn't happen instantly for you.

VAPE ON!

Congrats, it is definitely a journey. You'll probably have some stumbles along the way, but just go with the flow!

I noticed you are in PA. We are having a PA vaper's meet on July 31st. You should try to make it if you can. Lots of prizes and goodies will be available, along with some vendors. And you can try different PVs and juices, too! Here's the thread with pertinent info if you are interested:

Congratulations on becoming a vaper. You very well may have had your last cigarette....yes, it really IS that easy for some of us. I smoked for 40 years and would have an anxiety attack when I even THOUGHT about quitting. Then....BAM! I discovered this. This is nothing short of a miracle for me. I still can't believe it's been this easy to quit. Every now and then I'll try a regular cigarette...just to remember/compare....and they're AWFUL! If I ever get a choice of a cig or a PV, I'll take the PV hands down. Good luck!

Thanks guys, I am sure there are stumbling blocks ahead but like everything else in life, I'll cross that bridge when it comes.

Redgirl,

I tried posting in the Pa forum in the introduction thread but I did not have enough posts at that time, I will do so when I have enough. I did see the meet-up and am definitely intrigued. I think the location is about 2 hours away from me which is not bad for a day trip.

I too just started vaping, roughly a week ago. My transition from analog to full electronic is taking me a little longer than I would have hoped, as I've made a couple of rookie mistakes already, and bought sub-par products. BUT I do generally enjoy vaping more, the freedom and peace of mind is priceless. I'm still finding analogs hard to resist first thing in the morning with my coffee, and in the evening after dinner though  I'm curious how these times will be for you?

Welcome aboard to the two of you !! I too enjoy hearing about new arivals to the wonderful world of vaping !!!!!!

Keep em comin and good luck !!!

ForusLeFoxes- I had the same issues and was able to over come them with 36mg nic juice and even some custom 42mg. I am now down to 36mg only.

You will get through it,all it takes is some "want to"

Hey trout - I feel the same as you! I got my new eGo in the mail today and was very excited to get started too. I was amazed that it only took maybe 15 mins to charge on my USB. I am loving the massive amounts of vapor coming out of this pv and the Riskee Yuice is so delicious. Since starting vaping last week I have only had a few analogs and dont miss them at all.

I just wanted to follow up on day 2 as I am still just as excited!

I have not smoked an analog since getting the 510 yesterday at 10am. I know, it's only 1 day but what an eye opener. My only thought is Really? I mean Really? How can something just replace a 25 year habit?

The only way I can explain this to myself is that I simply replaced the brand of cigarette that I smoke. Oh and the new brand just happens to not kill you! or cost an arm and a leg.

Last night I went to our Hunting Club for a meeting. We also happen to have a very active bar that allows smoking, I visit at least once a week to just hang out. I hung out there for 3 hours last night, had 4 beers and still did not smoke an analog. How is that possible? I did vape 3 times to get me over some urges but I still cannot understand how this is possible.

I am beginning to wonder if I was ever that addicted to smoking? Maybe I am not addicted to the chemical, just the smoke and the holding of a cigarette?

Thanks for listening again. I am still just as excited and am beginning to be convinced that I will finally stop smoking analogs.

Troutspinner - I'm about 4 hours behind you in my transition to vaping. I too am pretty amazed at how quick I'm transitioning. I did have 1 analog this morning with my first cup of coffee. I think that was mainly to see how my throat handled the smoke.

One thing that I'm having troubles with is that I'm finding that vaping seems harsh and I tend to cough more than I would have thought. I'm assuming that it has to due with breaking in the atty's and/or the juices that I received - Curtis's Coffee (16mg) and Energee (11mg). Placed orders for a bunch of different juices last night. Now to find that sweet spot - good times!

I'm in the same boat as you - I started vaping about a week ago and I find I still have one analog with my firt cup of morning coffee and one after dinner. However, given that I went from a pack a day to about 2 per day almost instantly - I do not find that discouraging at all.

Are you using a standard 510? My initial thoughts are try not inhaling so much at first as you did with analogs but rather suck in and blow out as well. Juices PG/VG ratios may cause that too I think as I'm noticing the same thing this morning and the only difference is I have new juices.

Just a little warning...and I've only been doing this a little over a month now...I thought that same thing about myself...that maybe it wasn't the nic...so I bought a bottle of 0 nic juice...tried it for a couple hours....definately missed the nic even though I didnt think I would...I have reduced my nic level and am ready to do so again, but I would be careful about reducing the nic lvl too fast....36mg to 0mg just did not work for me.
That is of course IMO
