First want to say hi to everyone. I'm new to both vaping and forums so please excuse any mistakes I might make in forum etiquette. I posted a question on this forum but the icon on the left is lighter than all the others, so, I was wondering if I did something wrong maybe in the way I worded it?

Nobody's sure about that stuff. They just did a forum upgrade, and we're all suddenly newbies again. If only we could all regain our virginity so easily.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the Forum page, there's an icon legend on the left side.

In most forum software, the 'hot" threads have an administrator-designated number of posts, showing that people are really interested in that thread.
