I ordered and received my Volt starter kit just a mere four days ago. I have been a 1 1/2 PAD smoker for going on 40 years. I quit three times during that 40 year period but reverted back quickly. Prior to receiving my Volt - I still had some supplies from the njoy purchased oh so many years ago...I attemped with those, however still found myself running back to the analogs.

Since receiving the Volt on 8/30, that day I had 1, count them "one", analog cigarette. I started with the 18 mg, but my newbie status failed me terribly, in that I only ordered the starter kit and no additonal cartos, and a holiday weekend is upon us. I have other orders in, but alas they won't be received until next week :(.

This is a fantastic forum, with so much information, plan to stick around here awhile and learn all I can!!!

Welcome to the forum, Elantis. Here you will find more information on e-cigarettes than you can find from any other place. You will also find support from new users and experienced vapors, alike. And definitely more opinions than you will know what to do with . Just understand that each person took a different route to get where they are today, and that your own journey is unique from theirs, because it is your own.

Don't be particularly concerned about running out of supplies. You will not break any rules should you continue to smoke while beginning your vaping journey. I allowed myself a few cigarettes a day during my first week with my Volts from Smokeless Image. I found that at the end of that first week, I didn't really want a cigarette any more and never bought another pack.

You could buy a couple of the disposable e-cigs from the gas station or convenience markets to hold you over a couple more days if you truly want to stay away from the analogs until you receive more supplies.

Best thing is that you haven't given up your desire to stop smoking. I believe with all of my heart that vaping provides the ultimate opportunity to stop smoking if the smoker is serious about quitting.

Join us Volties on the Smokeless Image subforums and introduce yourself. A lot of new and long term vapors are there on one of the busiest forum on ECF. There are also a lot of demo and instruction videos at the upper part of the home page. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/smokeless-image/

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

The long weekend isn't that long! Lol Grab a disposable, you are so lucky. Here in Canada we cannot buy disposables with nicotine, thanks to Health Canada looking after our health!

As a last resort, smoke if you have to. It's only a different (more harmful) way to get your nicotine. When you get your suppplies,

Relax, Enjoy!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome...and yes I do have those awful analogs here for a "just in case!", I was a little nervous about not having any around, but the desire just isn't there. I know I can purchase a "disposable" for emergency situations.

Still finding my way around here, but that's okay - learning every step of the way...and Baditute I do plan to visit the Volties, after researching on my own and looking at all the newbie posts here, I decided it was the starter one for me.

Welcome to the community! I can completely understand why you didn't end up ordering as much equipment as you needed when you got it. At least now you have confirmed the proof of concept and can confidently step into this new world and hopefully leave old habits in the past! It took me some acclimating as well before I really got the rhythm down on "when to order and how much". There is a bit of a learning curve coming into it, but just sticking with it for a short while and the many benefits become clear. I wish you the best of luck and definitely make sure you check back if you have questions about things. Happy vaping!
