Very excited to get this! I know it is threaded for 510, which I believe means I can also use a 306. Any others fit? Do I use LR or not?

As I understand it, I can use an 18650 batt for 3.7v vaping, and 2 (?) for 6v. Recommend me some batts and a charger please.

Anything else I need for this thing? Other than the mailman filing a restraining order

It would be nice if everything could come from Canadian vendors! Thanks a million

Congrats Dopeh on your new grand.. I use Lr 510s with a 18650 Batt.. I use 2- tenergy 3v batts for 6v vaping using a reg 510 atty.
I have used a combo of attys and voltages on mine and they all work good.. I have used the 306 adn it is a good atty but I prefer the 901 and 510 attys,, You can use adapters like any other mod to change atty types if you want.

Congrats dopeh!! I was able to secure a Grand myself tonight! As doots stated you can get the recommended batteries locally at happyvaper.com
They carry both the 18650 Canadian Electronic Cigarettes, AW 18650 Protected 2600mAh 3.7V Battery and the 3v
Canadian Electronic Cigarettes,AW LiFePO4 RCR 123 3.2V 500mAh Rechargeable Battery
If you choose to use happyvaper I would recommend you fire off an email to Jack and ask him about the chargers required... normally you would need two different chargers one for the 3.7v and another for the 3v. But I spoke with Jack this afternoon and he mentioned to me that he was getting a single charger to do both types of batteries...I'm not quite sure if he has them already or is waiting on them? Hey if you can save yourself a few bucks by having 1 charger why not!

I'm quite sure you will however love the Reo Grand!! I was able to get a mini last week and it is an awsome pv...Its only downfall is the 14500 battery life. I'm back to carrying 4 batteries and swaping them out every couple of hrs. But other than that this thing is solid! and feeds like a dream... I guess I've been spoiled with the longevity of the 18650 battery in my p18 ( get a solid 2+ days of heavy vaping ) and I miss that. Hence my choice to go with the Grand... I'm sure my mini and p18 will have its place as well...You can never have too many toys!! Wheres that Mailman!!

Thanks guys! Gotta browse the vendors now. Seems no single vendor has all I need, guess I better get used to that.. FarmYard, I got no problem with the BB's size, just the battery and lack of juice bottle lol

Are the AW batts that much better than others? They're 2-3 times the price..

Heh, this is a highly debated topic. =) Tons of people have UFs and TFs that they've used for months with no problem. Some people will fight to the death over the discussion of batts. =) I have a couple 18650 AWs coming in the mail soon so I'll be able to report my own findings about it, but really in the meantime, I've been using Trustfires and Ultrafires and had no problem. I just change my batt every time I refill my bottle and there doesn't seem to be a problem. =) I guess I'd say that if you have the extra cash, you might as well go for the AWs in case they do last longer/work better, but you'll be happy with other batts too.

know whats funny?all the people that say the BB is a huge device but box mods are.......................?hahahahaha

I haven't heard anyone say bad things about the BB... I think just some people define "big" differently, like a cigar vs. an analog or whatever. =) I just like my box mods because they carry juice so I don't have to worry about it. =)

Thanks Jack. Now I just need to find a 1 stop shop! Unlikely.. Damned excited though, the one thing I find annoying about vaping is filling carts 10 times a day. Cartos are OK but the waiting between drags kills it for me, If I chain them they taste bad. Lousy wicking I guess.

Swapping out a batt and juice bottle every 1-2 days is, well, a game changer for me.

Hey dopeh, I just noticed one of the links I posted above is for the AW 3.2v battery sorry bud. Although 2 of those will fit you Grand you would be at 6.4v probably a bit too much unless you match a higher Ω atty to it... Technically you could run 3.7v / 5v / 6v / 6.4v and 7.4v in the grand with the right combination of batteries...If you ask in the reo forum there are a few members running these 5v batteries successfully...5 Volt NIMH Battery for The Mako Maksi
Using this charger...Custom 5 Volt Battery Charger

I would say start off with some 18650's and go from there, that and some lr 306's or lr510's should make you very happy!

heres a battery chart comparison...http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=257543&page=1

From a quality assurance point of view yes. Many of the "all mechanical" mods have tight tolerances which may not be suitable with some of the batts out there. I have a set of Tenergys that will only fit one of my mods due to poor assembly/fitting the PCB. Mind you the other 2 sets are fine. That being said, are you ahead should you order a set of batts only to find out they don't fit your device? The AW consistency (size) and performance ensures a worry free vape.

Thanks, I never would have thought the batts could vary in size. I guess it's one of those things that becomes worth the price only once you've gotten shafted by the cheap stuff lol

I already ordered the cheap ones, hope they fit! Funny that I'm being cheap after having spent $500/month on analogs... though I'm already up to like $700 with vaping haha

sorry to bring back from the dead, but I'm in the same boat right now... got a bunch of AW IMR 14500's and 16340's and don't really want to buy new batteries and charger... I'm using my AW's with the Pila charger.... but I'm looking to get the Grand or the Mini to supplement my VV Ali'i (getting some repairs right now).... 7.4V would be waaaaaaaaaaay too hot even on a HV atty, but I like the 6ml bottle with the Grand as I have some spares too with my Ali'i. BUT then I'd be inclined to get some 18650's too for the convenience of the long day vape... <sigh> ... OP what did you end up going with? anyone have suggestions in my case?
